Rumor: Doomsday to Appear in BATMAN VS. SUPERMAN?
![]()
The same Warner Bros. producer who suggested that Robin wont be speaking to Batman and there will be drones in Batman Vs. Superman has offered up some more possible tidbits via Twitter. Over the last day, Hitman producer Daniel Alter has tweeted hints that Doomsday, Wonder Woman, and Nightwing will be in Batman Vs. Superman. Alters tweet is somewhat vague, only noting, Need to talk to some people tnite about #doomsday in #BatmanvsSuperman.
Of course, the Wonder Woman and Nightwing rumors have been swirling for several weeks, but there havent been many Doomsday rumors. Back in November, it was reported that there was a Doomsday Easter Egg in the Man of Steel Blu-Ray extras. Of course, Doomsday really seems like a villain that Warner Bros. would save for either Justice League or a later Superman movie, but maybe the groundwork for his appearance could be laid in Batman Vs. Superman.
[Update: Alter has clarified that he is not speaking as a representative/involved in #BatmanvsSuperman. Just a fan/in the biz/hear things..]

Rumor: Doomsday Set to Appear in BATMAN V SUPERMAN?
![]()
Bleeding Cool sources who have been rather reliable in the past have told the site that they have seen Batman V Superman designs for the character of Doomsday. In the comics, Doomsday was the creature who killed Superman, in an epic battle across all the Superman titled, culminating a battle composed entirely of splash pages drawn by Dan Jurgens. Recently, the character returned in the rebooted New 52 Superman titles, in the crossover event Doomed masterminded by Scott Lobdell.
Now, of course, much can change in the production process. This may be used purely for flashback purposes on the screen, looking at the life (and death) of Superman. It may be purely for promotional efforts to accompany the film. Or it may not make it to the final cut. But as of now, it looks like Doomsday, the killer of Superman, might be in the next film.

Batman & Lex Luthor Details for BATMAN V SUPERMAN (Spoilers)
![]()
[Warning: potential spoilers] GeekTyrant has revealed some new information about the plot of Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice. The website was contacted by an extra who spent ten days working on the film's set. In addition to telling the site that the film's ending has already been shot, he also described at least one scene that he was present for the filming of.
According to the extra, the ending of the film has already been filmed. One of the scenes shot featured Batman breaking into Lexcorp to steal kryptonite, and apparently Lexcorp had somehow gotten ahold of General Zod's body. While GeekTyrant treated the news as only a rumor, since they have no way to confirm the extra's information, BadassDigest has since chimed in, confirming the information given by the extra as true.
According to BadassDigest, Luthor gathers pieces of the World Engine from Man of Steel and uses it to synthesize Kryptonite. Zod's body plays an important role in Luthor's plan, as the tissue taken from the corpse will be used to create an enemy capable of defeating Superman. While the report doesn't say the name, they heavily imply that the opponent is Doomsday, the monster who killed Superman in the "Death of Superman" storyline from the 1990s.

Rumor: Zod Becoming Doomsday in BATMAN V SUPERMAN?
![]()
According to Comicbook.com, Man of Steel villain Michael Shannon will appear in the upcoming Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice. General Zod seems to be key to the DC Cinematic Universe going forward: his corpse is stolen, or perhaps just acquired, by Lex Luthor and experimented on presumably in the hopes of finding a weakness to exploit against Superman. In the course of his experimenting, he "triggers the Doomsday genome," causing the corpse to reanimate as the mindless killing machine at the center of The Death of Superman.
Doomsday rumors have been omnipresent for months, and while it seems like a waste to use the character and not do the Death of Superman story, there are some obvious upsides to his inclusion, not least of which is that there are very few villains who can be a physical menace to Superman and many of those are likely characters they'd like to dedicate a full film to in the future. Doomsday is essentially one long fight scene incarnate, so if they can blow audiences away with that scene, why not?
Once he's Doomsday, of course, it's likely that Zod's body will take on the appearance of Doomsday, and from that point on he could be anybody. Another actor could do the heavy lifting, or even a stunt performer. Back in November, there was a shot of Shannon hanging out with Henry Cavill near the set of Batman V Superman in Chicago.

I get that feeling too since Superman comes across like such a villain and why the fuck is Batman wearing a coat?
Meh.
Never really was a super hero/comic movie fan. I'll see people get excited about these trailers and just can't get hyped for it.
