Man, I just can't get hyped for this movie. Not like Cap: Civil War anyway. The music doesn't even get me pumped and I'm talking about the first trailer as well as the second. Something about Batman facing off against someone who could kill him in seconds doesn't interest me. The only thing that draws out the fight is Superman's restraint.
It's like Captain America fighting Thor and Cap is the only one who is going all out. Not interesting at all.
more like Hawkeye. Captain america is an enhanced human. Batman is a guy in a suit. in this movie he's a fuckin Dadbod in a suit.
Not a comics guy, so these are strictly "based on what I've seen in the Man of Steel and Batman movies" observation. IDGAF what is explained in the comics
This trailer makes me think the movie will be very very bad. firstly, DC is trying to copy the "Marvel humor and wit"...only the backdrop is so gritty and dark and depressing that it just seems so horribly out of place.
From reddit:
"Is she with you?"
"No....I thought she was on of yours?"
*BIG BANG THEORY STUDIO AUDIENCE ERUPTS WITH LAUGHTER*
And all of Luthors dialogue is cringeworthy. he may as well be literally staring into the camera and winking to the audience with all his dialogue. "oh boy i wouldn't want to pick a fight with you!"
"you know the oldest lie in America senator? is that power can be innocent"
who the fuck in history has ever said this? where is this quote coming from? I think that "power can be innocent" is the exact opposite of what everyone in the world believes.
also....Superman is outed. his face should be everywhere. unless in this universe we're to assume that everyone is a complete moron who can't recognize a person with and without glasses on. if this is the case then every glaring plot-hole, cringey dialogue, baffling character decision can be attributed to the fact that everyone in this movie is a complete moron for being unable to tell the difference between superman and clark kent.
