If you have seen BATMAN V SUPERMAN, how would you rate it?

Captain America's bones and tissues are denser and stronger than a normal humans allowing for enhanced durability. In the case of the MCU Cap has superhuman durability. That is why he could take blows from Winter Soldier's arm.

Yeah I mean MCU cap stops a Helicopter so even though Bucky's arm packs a good amount of destructive force I think it's plausible for Cap to persevere through the damage.

I've never seen anything to indicate he could take a sledge-hammer to the face and especially not a high-powered one. Are you saying he can?

Idk what your definition of fight scenes are but there is nothing out that compares to the last 2 cap movies when it comes to fighting.

That doesn't just include cbm movies but any action movies. What would rival it? Raid 2? Can't think of Anything else and even if it did compare fighting wise it just wouldn't compare to the overall movie

This is just a fanboy comment. You clearly don't watch action movies if you think this. There are many good older films from Hong Kong that have way better fight choreography. The action is okay for a CB movie but again it pales in comparison to so of the great action films out there.

That's disappointing. Now his action scenes are even less exciting because he's basically invulnerable.
just sounds like you don't understand the character then. Cap is enhanced. he's not a regular person with a shield.

There is a huge list of movies with better fight scene than winter solider.

I like captain America ws, but its not top ten best action movie ever, imo.

Fuck off. Unless they recently turned him into a Luke Cage type, he was always portrayed as slightly above the peak physical human. There's a reason it was always "Who would win in a fight, Captain America or Batman?" and not "Who would win in a fight, Captain America or Aquaman?"

Shrugging off sledge-hammer punches from a cyborg makes me think, "Why am I supposed to be interested in this?" If you think, "Wow, this is amazing! I understand the character so much I don't even care that there's no suspense!" then power to you.

Well no...he has limits. He has been shot several times...he was chucked off an overpass and into a bus and loss consciousness. He lost consciousness after the helo aircraft crash at the end of winter solder. Remember he ended up in the hospital at the end. Stark beat the shit out of him almost to death.

Part of his powers is super fast healing ability. He gets over his injuries very quickly. I'd wager that he was feeling much better by the time he dragged Bucky out of that Hydra building at the end of Civil War.

It's just Disney. Nobody of major contract obligations is ever going to die.

And that's fine.

So he has vulnerabilities, just not being hit in the face by a sledge hammer. In this one movie. Can you see why I am not thrilled by the fight scenes in WS?

Character in danger? - nope
Something new an exciting? - nope
Story has me on the edge of my seat? - nope
Is this fight going to play out exactly as I expect from watching other action movies? - yep

No you are forgetting he has limits...no he couldn't take that sledge hammer to the face....

Clearly it had an impact...you just forgot it or are dismissing it.

I liked Civil War because it had a great argument where both sides point of view were both right and wrong...And it didn't resolve that argument at the end. Which leads to discussion and arguments everywhere. Including in these threads. Where as the reasons for Batman and Superman fighting were really very hollow and the reason it resolved it self was even more hollow and then we turned our attention to a barely introduced cgi...thing. that nobody has any investment in.

I think it's much more compelling having to hero's fight than having a hero fight against some badly animated cgi thing with no character or soul to it.

Could you give me some examples? I like action movies and am curious if you know of some gems I'm unfamiliar with.

Best Superhero action Movies : Dredd, The Dark Knight Rises, Avengers, Megamind, The incredibles, Jonah Hex, GOTG.

Best Asia Action Movies : all IP man movies, The Raid, Kungfu Hustle, Shaolin Soccer.

Best Action Movies : Street Fighter, Terminator 2, The Purge 2, Warrior, Kickboxer.

Honorable mention : 300, Troy, Percy Jackson 1&2, Clash of The titans.

It bothered me that they treated Winter Soldier's metal hand like a regular hand. Earlier they show it shattering concrete, but at the end Cap is taking John Wayne-esque metal haymakers to the face like we've been seeing since the forties. Could cap take a sledge hammer to the face? I doubt it.

I really don't understand why people are raving about these fight scenes.

I wasn't a fan of the fight scenes, so much as I was the tone of the action sequences in general. It's amazing what the right music choice and camera work can do. That scene on the street when Bucky first shows up is epic, and it feels appropriately gritty, simply due to how well they present it. That's what Winter Soldier excelled at. Making a bunch of silly cartoon characters fighting it out, feel like there were real stakes involved. I thought that It was the first Marvel flick, where the action scenes didn't feel like they were just going through the motions.

But yeah, the fight choreography was nothing we haven't seen before. Solid, but nothing special.

I can't even take your fan boy comment seriously. You didn't offer anything to the conversation.

I listed probably one of the best action hand to hand films in recent memory and all you can say is there's old stuff better lol

I'm a fan boy of good movies.

The impact was some make-up and a cliched emotional moment? It sure didn't have an impact in the fight when he'd take a few of them and then just continue with his choreographed fighting. That essentially takes my interest out of the fight because I know I'm just waiting for the next plot point.

I think it's much more compelling having to hero's fight than having a hero fight against some badly animated cgi thing with no character or soul to it.

I don't see a difference between bad CGI fighting and uninteresting physical fighting.

I never felt that, but I can appreciate that answer.

so you are complaining about the unrealistic aspects of a comic book movie? you do realize this is a work of fiction about super-powered beings, right?
