BATMAN V SUPERMAN (Dragonlord's Review, post #1)

If you have seen BATMAN V SUPERMAN, how would you rate it?

It is very generic martial arts. It is not tops for that kind of fighting anyways. And it is the same kind of fighting they do throughout that movie, and Civil War. Plus Supes can eye laser both to death, and WW can just flick them away. DC fights scenes cannot be portrayed the same way. DC characters have more options than just chop socky.

It's some of the best fight scenes ever put on film. Not just in a comic book but any other action movie. It's up there with the Bourne films.

The best fight scene in BvS was Batman taking out the goons in the warehouse. Superman and Wonder Woman fighting Teenage Mutant Doomsday was boring, a meaningless exercise in CGI with zero tension.

agree CGI overload and just total chaos and nonsense. Doomsday also looked fucking stupid and they already crammed in Supermans death lol.

Its better than anything in B v S, its well choreographed, hard hitting and visceral. There's no debate lol Batman taking out the goons while saving Martha was cool and the best part of that movie, but it doesn't compare (that scene had a lot of CGI also)

Also, Zemo actually had clear reasons for doing what he did which is why i think he was so great. His plan relied on coincidence, but lol, wait, don't tell me Lex's plan didn't also rely on the same thing?

Also Jesse overacted the SHIT out of that (thought it was jim carrey) and also, tell me, what was his motivation? His GREAT reason for hating Superman? Why? He just didn't like him? that's it right?

Damn i mean I'm in no way agreeing with madsalty but if you think the fight scene in captain America are some the best ever put in an action movie you need to watch any number of kung fu flicks out there. Straight laughable.

It stopped watching kung fu movies years ago. Too much wire work, flashy techniques etc.

The fight scenes in WS etc are to kung fu movies what MMA is to point karate fighting.

No, i agree with him.

I've never understood why people like the fight scenes in Winter Soldier. No more interesting or compelling than any other generic fight scene.

Not even using Civil War

This, alone, shits on any Batfleck action scene, supes or wonder woman.

This one fight scene from one part of Cap 2>>>B v S

Eyecandy for computer nerds imo. So many action movies today look like a demo for showing of impressive cgi.

Its not all on
I know a lot people aren't fans of Snyder but isn't the
studio and the writers more responsible for this
clusterfuck.
Its not all on Snyder no, i was just saying his movies are generally dark visually.

76Knockout and KnightTemplar should get a room together, I can't take anything they say seriously from them when they have a Steve Rogers and Bucky avatar. The fight scenes are okay for a CB movie but most action movies have better fight scenes.

Anyway why the hell is this even being compared? CA and WS are just super soldiers, no shit they have to get into melee combat. If that's your thing that is great but plenty of other people like me prefer the more fantastical element of DC where characters go through their whole arsenal of weapons and superpowers to take down a foe. That's why I prefer BvS combat as well.

The airport scene in Civil War was probably the best thing of both movies. However, I do not understand why someone brought up that cheesy knife flip from WS as a good example of "fighting"

Idk what your definition of fight scenes are but there is nothing out that compares to the last 2 cap movies when it comes to fighting.

That doesn't just include cbm movies but any action movies. What would rival it? Raid 2? Can't think of Anything else and even if it did compare fighting wise it just wouldn't compare to the overall movie

Last fast scene was good

Airport was just ok

The chasing scenes were also pretty decent

Yes. Snyder has shown brilliance, he might have to go away for awhile and come back rejuvenated

Is there a vacancy next to the love nest you share with MadSquabbles?:)

It bothered me that they treated Winter Soldier's metal hand like a regular hand. Earlier they show it shattering concrete, but at the end Cap is taking John Wayne-esque metal haymakers to the face like we've been seeing since the forties. Could cap take a sledge hammer to the face? I doubt it.

I really don't understand why people are raving about these fight scenes.

Captain America's bones and tissues are denser and stronger than a normal humans allowing for enhanced durability. In the case of the MCU Cap has superhuman durability. That is why he could take blows from Winter Soldier's arm.
