Yeh it was pretty terrible. I'll do a 4/5.

John Carter was way better btw

If youre not talking the Ultimate Edition of BvS then youre not talking the movie. I never saw the theatrical, so i dont care about it, although some of the things missing i read abbout were mind boggling to me. They didnt show the burned bodies or kgbeast making sure prisoners killed the branded criminals.<{cruzshake}>

Doesnt make sense to leave that out. Same with superman not knowing tfhere was lead in the wheelchair.

Right now civil war is slightly better, but we'll see on rewatches. It's crazy how similsr both movies are but in retrospect zemos plan is far worse than Lex's. They both want the villains to fight each other but at least hes actively setting it up, instead of relying on coincidence like zemo does. He also is directly responsible for Doomsday unlike having no idea iron man would show up siberia to complete his plan.

Theres a bunch of corny shit but it's mostly in yhe beginning. Bruce tells jack to evacuate everyone, but jack stays for no reason<36>

Mcnairy is a shitty actor.

Eisenberg is AWFUL. HZis worst performance by far. If he just played it more lowkey, the zuckerberg style of lex could have wotked, buut this shit is trash. I still think lexs motivations are interesting.

Flash scene didnt make any sense.

Wonder woman was ok, but shes like spiderman in civil war, completely superfluous. The scene where they look up the rest of the heroes adds nothing. And why did she steal bruces hacking thing, if she didnt actively want to stop lex.

The bat-supes fight was great. Batmans "men are brave" line gets me every time. I could watch that scene over and over. I reallly wnj oyed the irony of batman and lex wanting the same thing despite beong on different sides.

The martha thing is completely overblown like i knew it would be from the memes. It makes complete sense, and lois is the one who really saves him. Batman was still in kill position when he was saying martha. The flashback in the scene does suck though. I dont know why they didnt think we were stupid enough to not get it.

I actually enjoyed the finale. The fight was good, and it was cool seeing the heroes work together.

Doomsday might be the strongest villain ever in a comic movie.

Dont get the church lady gasps about batman either. He killed in Dark Knight Returns, which is what this is based off of. Hes 20 years deep, and robins death made him become more severe. Even alfred is more upset with hhim because of it. It makes sense. And hes not doing it for laughs like keaton sticking dynamite in a henchmans pants either. This is without a doubt my favorite batman.

The way I interpreted the Flash scene was that he was coming from an alternate universe from Batman's dream to let him know that Lois was the key to Superman's sanity.
It seemed like it was a setup for the sequel, but I doubt they'll follow up on it.

Re: Wonder Woman, she just wanted the picture that blew her cover. She didn't have any intention of interfering; but Doomsday happened.

Until now, I still haven't rewatched BvS or watched the Ultimate Edition. Every time I try to watch it, I end up stopping it a few minutes in because it's such a chore to continue and the gloomy vibe isn't encouraging.

Yep that was a pretty stupid scene.

Eisenberg is AWFUL. HZis worst performance by far. If he just played it more lowkey, the zuckerberg style of lex could have wotked, buut this shit is trash. I still think lexs motivations are interesting.
When they first announced Jesse as Lex, I thought they hired him to do his Mark Zuckerberg spin on Lex. I think that would have been a better approach than what we got, which was Joker/Riddler Lex Luthor.

The bat-supes fight was great. Batmans "men are brave" line gets me every time. I could watch that scene over and over. I reallly wnj oyed the irony of batman and lex wanting the same thing despite beong on different sides.
I thought it was great also but they goofed up big time. As I said in my review, they should have made Bruce the "good guy" in the fight because he is the underdog going up against a god.

The martha thing is completely overblown like i knew it would be from the memes. It makes complete sense, and lois is the one who really saves him. Nah, the Martha bit deserved its notoriety and ridicule.

I actually enjoyed the finale. The fight was good, and it was cool seeing the heroes work together.
I enjoyed it as well. But it's a shame they had to sacrifice a potential epic Doomsday movie for a flash in the pan appearance here. Everything here just felt rushed and crammed to try to catch up with Marvel.

I think I rated the ultimate edition an 8 but I also haven't rewatched it since then.

I felt that the cinematography and Batman are pretty amazing

Lex sucks just plain and simple.

Martha is just a blown up meme. The scene is not perfect but its not even the worst scene in the movie( The glass full of piss scene is the worst)

I'm not really a big Superman comic book fan so I really dont have a problem with his character or personality like most die hard fans do.

Wonder woman is only in it for a short while but she really makes the end fight worth watching since batman did almost nothing.

Alfred is the best version of him. Irons did a fantastic job

So you know most of the characters are actually pretty decent. Not perfect in any stretch but totally passable

Doomsday kinda sucks. But compared to other comic book movie villains I could think of worse final bosses

If I rewatched the movie again I feel pretty confident that I would give it an 8 again..7 at the least

I was delighted to find the ultimate edition was a far superior film, but yeah, some of the scenes, lines, and characters are out of place. WW was certainly superfluous but she stole the show. Synder being out of the director's chair on the future films might help, honestly... the dude doesnt always have the best sense for characters, and his obsession with dark narratives doesnt let some fols breath (like dragon, for instance).

Dragon, just fast forward past the opening, and the african chick speaking.

I dont think making batman the good guy in the fight fit with where he was at that point in his career.

It seems confusing that batman out of the blue has a dream about darkseids parademons, then is awoken by the flash<23>

Theres no explanation to me. Unless it really is a time travel thing, and hes coming from a future where lois is killed and supes goes nuclear.

The thing about wonder woman is that she's completely shocked when bruce sends her the picture. She had no idea lex had it

What did you think of the movie?

Whom did Batman kill in THE DARK KNIGHT RETURNS? Other than himself...

I figured it was definitely time travel, but they left it very mysterious. When did Bruce become a precog and why would Flash know to back to that moment? Way too random.

Lex didn't have the exact photo, he just had a joeg of the photo. Bruce either found and purchased the original or he just printed one out on his Wayne Enterprise Bat Printer-Scanner-Copier. The gift was the surprise.

I thought the movie sucked pretty bad. Eisenluthor alone made the movie unenjoyable. Everything from his origin, vague genius backround, his motivations, personality, and quirks, to the fact that they even included Lex and felt Jessie was even in the ball park of casting options. Even if the movie was really well done, it could not have survived that colossal mistake. And it wasn't well done.

It was all over the place.
Batman origin.
Doomsday.
Lex.
Darkseid future.
Superfriends PowerPoint.
"Martha"!!!???
Even the climactic battle. Wonder Woman could have used the spear, but no, they had to include the Death of Superman, too.

It was worth the ticket price to see Batman fight Supes, though. And even then Wonder Woman's theme song was the best part of the movie.

Also warehouse scene was best Batman combat sequence in any given movie. Affleck was legit in the role.

99% sure he kills mutant leader too.

Im boggled anyone likes ww theme song. It's like someone took a bad zimmer class. Im gonna watch her movie next

Its a bit much to be played multiple times in a movie, but for that one climactic moment, like Hulk Hogan waving his finger, or the good guy/gal's presence insinuating a twist..it works and its pretty freaking cool (imo).

And yeah dragon, i just looked at the passage in TDKR,and the fight is very similar to the movie. He even says superman is trying to talk sense to me, but i cant listen (he dowsnt want to)

Although I rate the warehouse fight above every other Batman movie fight scene, that pisses me off: the Russian henchman has a heavy machine gun...without a fucking ammo belt. So he only has the single round in the chamber, which Batman uses to kill KGBeast.

OK, so maybe it's supposed to be box-fed; there's what could be a magazine on the side. But most HMG's are belt fed, because they are meant to put down heavy fire. An SMG with such a small amount of ammo defeats the purpose.
