Tech Bambu Labs X1 Carbon new 3D printer is a game changer possibly?

what are they printing? Printers?
No this is someone who bought a ton of them an does low volume manufacturing of parts. Companies who don't want to buy 5000 parts "usual minimum number for injection molding". A guy like this can produce a few hundred parts within a day or two. Make a few grand where that same person would have spent 10,000 or more for injection molding.

Another user setup home user who is now trying to think of how to add a 3rd one lol. I have the smaller version of that white toolbox.

Forget the budget, there’s always somebody special in your life who deserves something a bit extravagant, isn’t there?

If that person is us (and it should be) then keep your Cartier shiny things and your well-packaged items of luxury clothing and instead, get us a Bambu Lab X1.

With AI Print Detection and Lidar Bed Leveling, Does the Bambu Lab X1 Change Everything? What We Know So Far

This exciting new 3D printer has a bit of a buzz around it right now, as well as a 256 x 256 x 256 mm build volume, a CoreXY motion system, can print exotic filament varieties, and looks, to be quite honest, very damn cool. Oh, but don’t let the looks distract you, there’s also AI print detection, lidar-assisted bed leveling, an automatic material system, and Wi-Fi connectivity. So much more than a pretty face. The only downside? It’ll need to be a pre-order, so don’t bank on it being squished under the tree this Christmas.

Price? Well, a buck under four figures, but hey, we’ve earned it. Spoil your favorite editors this Christmas."

If you're an engineer or can learn how to design, there is some really good money to be made on Etsy if you can find a niche. If I had a bigger house I'd love to pick one of these up.

I'm surprised the number of people who run their own farming services are not designers but outsource their services to others who don't want to be bothered with buying and maintaining printing supplies and printers. But are more then happy to have that person run off a few hundred parts for them. Before this part was long nerve racking process as printers where slow and you really could not leave them unsupervised for a long period of time. Now the printers like these CoreXY like Bambu are much more reliable and much faster so cutting the time down.

I guess a lot of Sherdoggers have not outed themselves as Bambu Lab printer owners are causing problems lol.

Pretty good look at Bambu Lab.

You know, I used to think 3D printers were going to be revolutionary new tech. A decade later, it seems people mostly just use them to make toys

I see tons of people doing amazing things with their printers especially since the speed has improved drastically. Mostly people do toys because at the time tools where hard to learn and people did not have the willingness to learn but the tools are much easier like Fusion 360 I started by learning on Blender then FreeCad but Fusion 360 is much more intuitive to learn.

Here is someone running a business off their printers. People are running these things 24 hours a day in some cases. The printers are much faster like upwards of 10 times faster. Multicolor prints too.

You can customize these things to specific requirements and get it done in a day in some cases make some serious dollars. Customizing is a big jump in price and many people have these requirements.

I think you'd be surprised how many people use them for their own business. For instance, someone makes parts for my coffee grinder that was never offered through the OE mfg. I think there's plenty of use cases for them if you can find a need. I also work in Aerospace and we use them all the time. Toys are just one sliver of the overall market.
