Multiplat BALDUR'S GATE III

During my first playthrough i mentally took note of all those decisions that seemed to hide implications and possibilities of more or less radically modifying the course of events but when i found myself doing different things i realized that the changes were minimal, often only perceivable in a different line of dialogue or in the same events that happened in the previous run but simply anticipated or postponed.
An immense disappointment was the Dark Urge's run: if you have played the first two titles it will appear banal, uninspired and thrown there for pure fanservice (with a sad retcon for those who have played Throne of Bhaal).
It's a great game but as you progress you realize that it's "less beautiful" than it seems at first.

So evidently patch 8 got sent out to PS5 users way early. They say not to download it because it isn't fully tested and can screw up patch 7 if you have to go back.

You just know modders have already jumped in and are working the code already.

The co op game I've been doing has entered the lower city. I've been sitting on my hands and rerolling characters in honor mode all the up to chapter 3 because I wanted to play a full chapter blind with co op. It's still hilarious playing co op, so much story gets missed or glossed over, the crazy friend keep getting caught stealing stuff and will all of sudden be like "guys, I kinda need some help" we run across the map to find him barbarian raging and throwing people off ledges and into other people only to get dragged into another fight with people we don't know."

Really dying for the patch 8 to drop. I'm dying to try out the new subclasses.

Just got done making Cazador my bitch. Fought Ansur before that and it took me two tries, with only me and Astarion still alive (I was at like 12 HP left when I hit the killing blow). I forgot how fucking tough that damn dragon was.

Finished Shadowheart's quest. Holy crap I forgot how freaking hard that last battle was and how long it took.

On to the Iron Throne to save Wyl's dad (or watch him die like usual).

This weekend I blew up a factory and decided that the Wave Mother wasn't a good person and needed to be sent to the deep as well. That was a battle and a half.

Next on the ole check list is showing Goertash my pimp hand.

my og experience got shorted due to personal events taking over.

Revisiting this puppy and giving it the time it deserves this time around
Just wait until update #8 hits. I can't wait to play some of the new classes.

I just made Raphael my bitch (ok, he would have kicked my ass if I didn't have Hope). Now I just need to do one more quest and face the bad guy.

Finally completed an honour mode run to secure the golden dice! At this point, with several completed playthroughs, there's no better way to play the game. There were many butt-puckering moments, with the scariest being a one-on-one duel with Orin in Act 3. When examining our respective character's stats the tale of the tape did not bode well for me, on par with a matchup between CM Punk and the predator.

Had to get the party involved, only to discover it wasn't so easy to dispatch the enemy acolytes. Grenades were somehow doing no splash damage, and the enemies sanctuary did not allow me to shove them into the abyss. Thank god for those void bulbs I had saved from Act 1, and for my stock of Arrows of Roaring Thunder. Normally after finishing a game I'm ready to move on to something new, but I still want to play more. Hopefully patch 8 releases soon!

Yeah I’m excited for it but currently really enjoying myself. I think I’ve made decent progress so far in act 1. I eliminated the snake bitch, went down the well in blighted village, and killed the hag. So far very much enjoying the game

Is that the big battle after you meet
her parents and fight in the big hall against a bunch of enemies if you didn't side with them?

If so, that's where I stopped playing. Every battle in Act 3 had at least one NPC who did nothing, and more the bigger the battle was. I'd have to wait a few minutes before the queue shifted to another NPC.

In the battle of my spoiler warning, there were at least 6 NPC's who did nothing. I should have probably finished it, just to make it easier, as I heard it was hard, but I couldn't sit through the waiting any longer.

I assume they fixed this issue by now? Did you experience it all in Act 3?

I did that fight with Shadowheart before taking on Rapheal. That fight is a bitch and a half and took forever just due to the number of people involved (made even longer since I had a party of a dozen). Orin was even worse (that's one where there were a bunch of people who wouldn't do anything).

I need to free the Gith dude in the gem (or not, and side with the Emperor), and then off to the Netherbrain.

The new sub classes sound cool but IMO it's everything else this game has to offer that is really great about it. Plus it's built for multiple playthroughs so you can always save the new subclasses for the next go around whenever or if you ever decide to do that.

You know my ass is going to be doing an evil playthrough and at least a few honor attempts

The co op run finally came to it's hilarious conclusion.
We failed the check against the elder brain, emperor saved us, told the emperor we were going to free the gith, emperor bounced, devil showed up offered us a deal, we declined it, he laughed and then we got a game over splash screen
