Multiplat BALDUR'S GATE III

Yeah, but compared to the amount of good leaning companions it's rather sad. Astarion and Minthara can enjoy doing evil things, Laezel has her own point of view, and Shadowheart can become more callous.

I agree. On the other hand I would be happy with less companions per playthrough alltogether. I feel that changing my party, swapping gear and spells etc. all the time is a little bit tedious to. But I want to see all of their stories through once.

Now I have pretty much everyone besides Minthara. I'm in the end of act 2. Just started my journey to BG. A second playthrough with dark urge, evil choices and fewer companions could be fun.

Oh wow so you can get a different weapon also? I wonder if the molds you get are random or how the game decides that.

The medium armour that you can forge there is pretty OP. Still wearing it at level 9 even tho I got it at like level 4 or 5.

Holy fuck...going into the Githyanki Creche thing turned out to be a much bigger deal than I expected. Fighting my way out took a while
From my experience you only have to do two battles after going into the artifact, the one right in that room, and only outside the throne room on the bridge. After that you have a free run towards the transport portal. I purposefully didn't want to clean up the whole map because I don't want to max out my level halfway through the game, even though it appears that might very well happen, since I'm already level 7 at the start of act 2. I didn't engage most of the goblins outside the building either, just escaped after the main 3 kills.

Another thing I noticed visually was during the act 2 fight in the inn. The light from the glyphs are being dynamically calculated in the reflection of the blood, while the blood is also following the textural seams of the floor. I'm sure that's not ground-breaking in 2023, but how cool is that?!

Was also thematically fitting for Tavern brawler Karlach throwing those gargoyles around in the inn. I also have two items that increase throwing damage. It's kind of OP to be honest, you can pick up an enemy, throw it at another and kill both in 1 action, and if that doesn't happen you can still make the hit enemy go prone, then f*cking hammer them when they're lying on the ground like you're Thor. It's so fun and visceral to do. Even made the grymforge construct with the intimidating 450 hp much less of a threat, heat it with the lava, then let Karlach throw bludgeoning weapons/objects at it. Repeat until it's dead.

Yea I'm still wearing it at level 7. Have most of Act 2 cleared out. Just got into the temple in Act 2 and then I just need to finish moonrise which I partially started.

Act 2 has really been great. Several times now I've separated my party with just one character sneaking around the bases. Even avoided a forced cut scene by turning to a gas and it didn't recognize me anymore and was able to proceed. I can't put the controller down when I start playing this.

I was able to bypass the fight on the bridge by unlocking the secret weapon in the same room and then teleporting out. Seems to piss off the Gith though as they are now hunting me and have spawned in some random locations. One location they had such a massive advantage I just reloaded and teleported somewhere else. They had like 5 guys high above me on a bridge I couldn't jump or misty step to I just said fuck this.

I find it tough to be evil in this game. Pretty much everyone with bad intentions is an asshole. Doesn't help that I'm playing Paladin of course

Playing evil is also just less rewarding in terms of material gains.

If you sack the grove, you lose Wyll and Karlach in exchange for Minthara and Dammon will be dead, leaving you without access to some of the best armor pieces in act 3

I plan to do dark urge play through the next time but I don't know if I'll go completely evil.

Yeah I got to the point where I was able to just quicktravel out of there but then I took a long rest and wiped out the whole damn place. The little talk I had with a certain "Queen" left a bad taste in my mouth....

I also hit level 8 after that. Did pretty much everything in act 1 and a few things in act 2. Feels like it won't be too challenging going forward

This is how I plan on doing my Dark Urge playthrough. Just doing a few evil things mainly sacking the Druid Grove just to romance Minthara and probably still do a good playthrough fighting against the Dark Urge only giving into a few times.

I'm with @method115 on not being able to put the controller down when I start

Dude I just got done putting over 100 hours into another game before BG3. I figured I do want something to casually play but I don't want put hours of my day into anything right now. Purchased BG3 figured I'd do like a quest a day or something like that. Next thing I know I'm doing 5+ hour play sessions. When steam said I had 43 hours into the game I seriously didn't believe it I thought I must have left the game running but I didn't.

Yeah, it's electronic crack. I have to avoid playing it on a work night or I'll be up to midnight or later.

I'm only in act one after about 28 hours in, but I've been to a bunch of places I REALLY shouldn't have been at.

I love throw. It even helped me finish one of my missions in the Underdark because that stupid cowardly senile gnome was trapping between the exploding mushrooms would not move . So I did what any other people would do is throw his midget ass 40 feet horizontally and he made it out with 1 hp, a -40 to attitude change, and I got my reward

The game has its flaws and glitches, but overall it's glorious.
I finished my single player run in 120 hours.
We also beat act 1 with my friend in first two weeks after release, I loved it. I played a vengeance paladin and he played a bard. Sadly, my friend died, I think he would have loved the plot and some of the mechanics he didn't get to see. We kept saves on my PC so now I have a very sad save file which is not going anywhere.

If you have a gaming buddy I strongly recommend it.

not had time to play multiplayer yet, but I have a buddy I played through DivOS 1 & 2 with, and they were both great for co-op.
My work schedule is just a bitch to work around.

Coop works really well. Easy to use and no glitches for me. Just be careful when picking characters, you get to control and romance only those your character talked to first.

Went back to the Gith after running out on the Queen and decided to just destroy everybody in that place. Having the quest lines opened bothered me. Plus the Gith were attacking me at random spots outside their base and I don't like that. Got both the quest lines to close and now I just need to finish up the Shar temple.
