That feeling when you finally defeat Grym, only to find out you can only craft two mithril pieces and you already wasted one on the heavy armor and no one in your group wears heavy armor. Fml.

Are you positive that's heavy armor? Unless you found a mold that I didn't find there's a medium armor and a mace. I gave the mace to Shadowheart even though she doesn't need it and the medium armor to my Barbarian. The medium armor looks like heavy armor but it's not so read the description carefully. It's an insane armor piece and well earned after that boss fight IMO.

If its running at anything less than 1440P/60FPS, that's an optimization issue.

I think we need to hold off on comments like this for now. I'm not saying you're wrong but it could just be these consoles being pushed to the max. These games are demanding in a different way than a game like Doom is. I can literally split up my team into two and have them in different parts of the map and literally change places in a matter of seconds. I think people are seriously underestimating how hard that is pushing hardware to do things like that.

There was one point where I was stuck in turn based mode and moved my team far away from a town and the game was still processing what the NPCs were doing in that town during their turn. I think this sort of stuff can be very demanding on hardware.

hmm tooltip said it was heavy armor and i wasnt proficient in it when i hovered over it. i'll definitely give it another look. i wanted to use that and the long sword for my PC

edit. yea theres two armor moulds. medium and heavy. theres also a shield, longsword, mace, and scimitar.

Strange so I wonder if there is different molds. I know mine was a medium armor but it looked like heavy armor.

I got the heavy armor and longsword for my PC and I had them both for a pretty long time. They are really good. Also there was a point in Act 2 where I was able to get a second Adamantite Longsword. It felt like i wasn't intended to get that second one and got lucky through an exploit but I never looked it up so who knows.

Oh wow so you can get a different weapon also? I wonder if the molds you get are random or how the game decides that.

I pretty sure they have a bunch of different molds at the forge around it. I had a good amount I got just from picking everything I saw up. Don't think I got them all but I think I had like 7 molds.

shit now i wanna reroll to a fighter just to use the heavy armor. that plus the shield = 20AC. Attackers cant crit. All Incoming damage reduced by 2. game changer going into act 2 me thinks

Astarion, Laezel and if you add Minthara?... not sure if this is a spoiler or not, sorry

That’s only 18ac then. Pretty sure you can get that early in the game. 2 damage reduction is nice but all the heavy armor I think does reduce damage by one, or like slashing/piercing damage. The armor sounds good but not like it would be a game changer

Yeah, but compared to the amount of good leaning companions it's rather sad. Astarion and Minthara can enjoy doing evil things, Laezel has her own point of view, and Shadowheart can become more callous.

18AC. if you got the shield thats +2 bumping up it to 20AC. take defenseive feat which adds +1 now you're at 21AC. have someone cast haste now you're sitting at 23AC.

i did find that it is bugged tho. i think you have to go down with two mithril ores. if you head back up the lever becomes stuck if you try to go back down as well as the wheel to open the lava. it seems grym bugs the contraption where you place the ore inside if he dies right on top. doesnt even become interactable,. atleast not on PS5. i'm gonna test it out tonight when i get home from work to see if i can craft both after defeating him.

Yeah I get it. I am saying that the 18AC isn't out of order. Regular platemail is 18AC. So you should be able to achieve the same 23AC with that. The damage reduction is pretty nice though

So been playing this game without an idea what I'm doing. Went down a well and found a spider, nope not going there any time soon. So went to go go to another area called mountain pass told me don't even bother going there. Then I found a bridge of those orc looking creatures nope screw them

So finally found the goblin strong hold what took me like 5 goes to beat that giant mob just to enter the building. I'm destroying every thing inside until I reached this devil guy, now I'm getting my shit reckt by him and feel I have no where else to go to lvl up

You could also talk your way into the goblin camp. That way no fighting and you can gain exp just by talking to them and then eventually take out the leaders when they have no more new dialogue or when you need to choose which side you’re backing. As for leveling up just run around and explore, go to the blighted village and free the gnome all through conversation checks . Don’t forget to explore all of the Druid grove with the Tieflings they’ll give you quests that are easy to beat. Get around lvl 3-4 then go back to the Goblin Camp it should be easier

Don’t forget to explore all of the Druid grove with the Tieflings they’ll give you quests that are easy to beat. Get around lvl 3-4 then go back to the Goblin Camp it should be easier

Try to think outside the box when in battles as well. Use the environment, pushing enemies off cliffs, getting height advantage, and items. The fireball spell, barrels of that explosive powder and grease went a long way for me in the early game.

Thats usually majority of all RPG companions where they outnumber good to evil by 5:1. Very similar to Dragon Age Origins where the only evil companions are Morganna and Zevran
