Multiplat BALDUR'S GATE III

Nah I think he’s talking about the one right before act2.

Oh, wow. I didn't even know there was a fight there. Had the gith chick in my party and we just chatted with them

I tried chatting with them as well but they didn't like what I had to say so things went south. They beat me the first time because I didn't know we were going to fight and I wasn't rested. The next time I said fuck this and just attacked them first and still barely beat them. Got a bad ass sword for the Gith chick as well that only she can use. I thought she would be mad but she didn't seem to care.

Same here. Lae'zel talked them down so I didn't have to fight them. I did eventually kill them at the gith camp tho.

Feel like im finally getting close to the end of Act 3, relatively speaking. Still have a lot of quest to do but I finished pretty much all side quests that don't have anything to do with the main story or companion characters so it looks like smooth sailing ahead. Lae'zel is an absolute moster. She is easily the best character in the party including my PC. After getting her Silver Sword she is pretty much one shotting everything that isn't a boss.

I never really travel with her because I am a fighter. And yes, its a solid class if you want to put on some heavy armor and take a 2-hander to some fools.

Hit level 4 now. Running a High Elf Paladin with Shadowheart (made her a life cleric), Gale and Karlach. I switch Karlach for Astarion depending on the situation. So far so good. The game really rewards creativity in combat.

That was the same 4 I used on my first playthrough, although I never subbed anyone in.

Wow. I'm 70 hours in and it never occurred to me to just misty step on people with the spirit spell. Worse is that would go amazing with my main party of my PC (fighter), Lae'zel, Karlach and Shadowheart. I prefer the rush in with brutal strength and start swinging methods if you can't by the party lol.

Heavy melee groups work great but there are a lot of large scale fights in the later acts, especially act 3 where I found Gale's ability to cast large AE damage was invaluable. I mean, sometimes in Act 3 you face like 16v4 type fights and melee might not be as easy a path. I guess if you have a lot of scrolls and/or bombs but those run out eventually.

Not sure on the second one but the first one is definitely near the grove fight it trying to save someone. Kinda near the bard

First one is a Harpy, you fight several by the shoreline near the Druids Grove.

Im in act 3 now and I've actually found Lae'zel soloing groups of enemies more useful than AOE spells. She is usually killing 3 to 4 mobs a turn depending on their health. If I'm flanked her and Karlach together molywop any group of enemies while I deal with what's ahead with my PC Shadowheart.

Wonder what the Xbox S was running?

I'd rather this not turn into a typical PS/Xbox console war thread, but I'd say the bigger issue is top-down games like X-Com2, Wasteland3, and Baldur's Gate 3 are supposedly significantly less graphically demanding... yet they run like shit on modern consoles which Doom Eternal can get 120FPS.

<{cruzshake}>
Just plain not acceptable.

If its running at 4K, I can get the FPS issues, mostly.
If its running at anything less than 1440P/60FPS, that's an optimization issue.

Shadowheart as a light cleric is SO much better

That goddamn flare that can make enemies re-roll crits is insane. Oh, yeah, plus a cleric throwing fireball.

i only asked because i thought i read that they were not going to do Split screen on the Xbox S.
and if i had to guess, Doom Eternal is not asking for a lot vs what Baldurs Gate would ask for (in specs).

That feeling when you finally defeat Grym, only to find out you can only craft two mithril pieces and you already wasted one on the heavy armor and no one in your group wears heavy armor. Fml.

It would be cool if all of them could be convinced to go evil or be their most selfish selves.

I mentioned it earlier in the thread, but it would be cool to have an evil questline where you essentially brain wash the good companions. I also wish more games did what Kotor 2 did, which is essentially have your alignment influence the characters in your party. I.E. the more darker the player character gets, the darker the companions become.

I wish this game had more evil companions.
Also wish they had better hirelings and more monster companions. There is no half-orc or dragonborn companion. I would like them to have a Kobold character like Deekin coming back to the game since they have already used Forgotten Realms chracters like Sarevok and Elminster in the game

Not sure if DLC would include new companions since they would need to hire the other voice actors to read their lines for their companion interaction with the DLC character

I wish this game had more evil companions.

You can have a full party of somewhat "evil" companions right?

Astarion, Laezel and if you add Minthara?... not sure if this is a spoiler or not, sorry
