Multiplat BALDUR'S GATE III

I got Shadow Tactics xbox key for $10, may be able to find a very cheap Steam key from a 3rd party seller.

I went right into Shadow Gambit and it's just as great, but has a more animated look. Unfortunately it's Mimimi Studio's last game. It's now that they've become one of my favorite stealth-strategy developers, but they at least went out releasing quality games.

They've held my interests to not get BG3 for my PS5, Larian is now saying it'll be released on Xbox by the end of the year.

Yea I just read that article, good article sort of explaining the difficulties of bringing a turn based game to console being more complex that most people realize, mainly due to the fact you are controlling multiple characters with multiple skill sets. Mouse/Keyboard has always been a powerful tool by comparison. I don't have any experience with the Gambit games but I did love Desperados 3, as well as many other turn based games over the years. My Steam library contains some of the greatest turn based games of all time and I guess it goes all the way back to when I first discovered their charm with the original X-Com in 1994. Around that same time you also had a game called Masters of Orion which I loved. They remade Masters of Orion a few years ago but I haven't got around to adding it to my library. Probably going to at some point.

Bought the preorder. Ive been playing simce i got home Saturday. Loving it so far. Just got to the Underdark via the Zhent Hideout. Still trying to fogure out the optimal Party. This is what I'm running.

PC Barb
Gale
Wyll
Astarion

I was trying to go thru the Goblin Camp. But dealing with 7ish ranged goblins just sucked ass.

I don't know what the optimum group is but I can tell you I've used predominantly Astarion, Shadowheart, Gale, and I'm a Fighter (Eldritch Knight sub-class) , with that group you can kill any encounter in the game.

Hit level 4 now. Running a High Elf Paladin with Shadowheart (made her a life cleric), Gale and Karlach. I switch Karlach for Astarion depending on the situation. So far so good. The game really rewards creativity in combat.

So all the good reviews decided to download it. Hoping the controls aren't to bad for the PS5.

Feel like im finally getting close to the end of Act 3, relatively speaking. Still have a lot of quest to do but I finished pretty much all side quests that don't have anything to do with the main story or companion characters so it looks like smooth sailing ahead. Lae'zel is an absolute moster. She is easily the best character in the party including my PC. After getting her Silver Sword she is pretty much one shotting everything that isn't a boss.

I’ve been using controller only on PC. A few issues here and there and it takes time getting used to the controls but overall I love it.

Completing the admantite forge. Was hard as hell and I had to get tips on completing it. Thought I was to early or something. I think with the right party setup you could cheese it fairly easily. Equipment was nice though and my barb finally looks good. I want a nice 2 handed axe and cloak next.

To many great side characters to use them all. Going to focus on using shadowheart, gale, and astarion this time. New play through I’ll switch to all the others. Also clerics are kind of insane. Shadowheart has some crazy op spells.

Just hit Lvl 5. Hopefully with that extra attack on my barb i can handle the Gith at the bridge. fml at lvl 4 that was annoying!

Totally Cheesed Nere tho. lol. easiest questline ever.

I wanted to have that commander betray him when I got him out but the option wasnt coming up. SO....i just did Full Rest x2 and then went back to the flower dude, went back, collected his head. easiest two questlines ever!

Yes this is what I did with Nere also. I tried to find a way in through the back so I could just slaughter everyone but wasn't able to. The bridge fight is insanely hard. Had two people die. I only won because I created a bottle neck and used my barbs throws to do a massive amount of damage. Otherwise I would have died.

I went through the game twice but I didn't encounter two of these creatures from the game engine posted on nexus. Anyone have any idea who these two are?

Not sure on the second one but the first one is definitely near the grove fight it trying to save someone. Kinda near the bard

Welp cheesed another battle. Thus time the Gith bridge fight.

Saw a video of someone placing explosive barrels near the 4 Gith with mage hand. I tried that but my mage hand expired. So i just cast firebolt on the one i did place witch took out one of the Gith. Off the bat. Astarion managed to get one of em down to 9hp then got triple shotted from one of the ranged gith. Thank god for Wyll and Gale both having Fireball. That took care care of most of em. Then it was just Magic Missle and Eldritch Blast Spamming.

Also, very much easier at lvl 5. Without a doubt.

Is this the one in act 2? Where your gith sensor goes off?

I wouldn't call this kind of stuff cheesing in Baldur's Gate 3. It's just playing smart instead of running to every encounter and trading sword blows.

That said my level 8 barbarian is an absolute world beater. I have some gear that enhances my throwing damage and I can just crush pretty much anyone by just tossing people and object around the battlefield. If not that, I get like 3 attacks per turn with my warhammer when enraged. Spear throwing is my favourite thing at the moment.

This is exactly what I've been doing. With the tavern brawler perk it's a beast of a setup. I also have the gloves that also give the extra damage. My barb, Astarion, and Shadowheart are destroying. Shadows hearts spirit spell destroys. I'll get her misty step soon so she can just teleport on top of a group with it.

Wow. I'm 70 hours in and it never occurred to me to just misty step on people with the spirit spell. Worse is that would go amazing with my main party of my PC (fighter), Lae'zel, Karlach and Shadowheart. I prefer the rush in with brutal strength and start swinging methods if you can't by the party lol.

Yea Misty Step is OP in this game. All my main characters have it minus Astarion but I'm sure I'll find more accessories to give it to me but he has like two dashes so not as important.
