Multiplat BALDUR'S GATE III

If you bought Desperados 3, you won't be disappointed. It was recommended to me by a friend and I was shocked at how good it was. Played it multiple playthroughs.
(Not about BG3 haha)

So thanks for recommending Desperados 3. I loved it. So I started looking for similar games. The Devs that made Desperados also made Shadow Tactics a few years prior. I definitely recommend it. IMO it's better story-wise, same type of gameplay, and it's in feudal Japan with samurai and shinobis.

Isn’t that the game studio that just announced they’re shutting down because profits were not enough? Kind of sad if true

Yea, I really feel Desperados 3 is an underrated gem, I also loved it and would play Desperados 4 if they make it. Thanks for the Shadow Tactics recommendation. Some of that stuff is on sale on Steam right now and when I looked I also see "Shadow Gambit" which just came out and is by the same developer and publisher, but its pirates.

to preorder for ps5 or not is the question. 3 days early access means i can play it on my days off (sunday/monday)

The only reason you wouldn't want to pre-order a game is because you don't know if its going to flop. In the case of BG3, its a GoTY contender so there is no reason to not pre-order.

Cliffs: Pre-order.

remember those arcane turrets outfront? well i took those things out with lightning, but it kept me in turn based combat. every time i would destroy them they would just respawn, but no longer powered up or anything. i went into the tower and took out two more. it kept me in turn based combat. i spent a stupid amount of time trying to figure out how to get out of it. i thought that if i just retreated my party as far away from the turrets as possible it would go back to normal again. but nope.

i even moved my party all the way into a completely different area and it kept me in turn based combat. i wasnt able to go to camp. i even walked my party all the way back to the nearest waypoint in the underdark but it wouldnt let me use it because i was still in combat!

im thinking the game is bugged or something so i reload my save and do it all over again and i still cant get out of turn based mode after those arcane turrets at the tower. so finally i start googling it and wasnt finding much, except for a random post on reddit where somebody was posting about pretty much the same issue i was. and the solution? uhhhhhh.....get out of turn based combat!

well normally it just switches out of turn based after i dispose of all the enemies...well considering those turrets just infinitely respawn that wasnt an option....but thanks to comment i read further down....it fixed it and i had an oof moment....turns out there is a command on the action bar to get out of turn based combat. derp. i was pulling my hair out and wasting alot of time just for something that i should have noticed by now, but this obvious feature has managed to elude me for this far into the game. i had to manually select it, but i never knew there was an option for it. i have a seperate button to switch into turn based mode when i'm not in combat, but not the other way around.

Put one of those magic-sucking seeds or whatever they were next to the turret. The turrets are magic, so you nullify magics, you nullify the turret.

I Just pre- ordered BG3 for the PS5. I’m glad it’s the long weekend here so I can play for 72
Hrs before I go back to work lol .

I’m either thinking a bard class made in image of Scanlan from Vox Machina

or a DU ranger just so I can have the animal companion .

Yeah, game is a blast. Lvl 4 Veng Pally(2)/Fiend Lock(2). One more level in Lock to get either my Pact of the Blade or an imp summon. Not sure which way I am leaning first. I've been using Gale/Astarion/Shart, and while I know a Wizard can be super strong, I feel like maybe I am not utilizing Gale properly. How should I set him up? He is still in his base spec(lv 4 Evo, I think?). Astarion is hard carrying my group right now, not gonna lie.

I told Karlach she is still too hot to touch, she asked if I'd like to touch her, I said hell yes, and she basically replied that she was gonna swallow me whole once we figure out her condition. Yes, please, muscle mommy.

Man the last Goblin leader is a beast. I'm going to have to put that on pause for now and do some more exploring. I have some ideas on how I can deal with him later but I'm in no rush.

I'm buying the PS5 version to try co-op with my friends. Anyone here try co-op?

What level are you and did you already do the Creche? I'm level 4 and I've freed Halsin and told him to stay put till I fixed the goblin leaders. I'm deciding whether to start the big goblin battle or to do the Creche thing first. I haven't played much this week, but I finally have a 8 day vacation starting this weekend.

i personal had gale go down the necromancy subclass. I basically have him raise some zombies or skeletons and Conjure Elemental. After that i have magic missile along with fire ball n few other spells i like. Also have a few cool spells on him because of the gear

I don't even know what Creche is. I'm at the part you are at pretty much. I freed the Halsin, told him to stay put. Two leaders are dead. I tried to take out the main boss twice but it's way to many people and some of them hit really hard. I have plenty of map left to explore outside of the Goblin village especially the area around where I initially crashed so I'm going to do that today when I get home.

You should complete the goblin battles first before even heading to the mountain pass/Creche. Otherwise the game will trigger all the events happening at the Druid Grove as though you let the goblins raid the area. If you are still waiting for the goblin fix, you should do the Underdark first since it wont affect the Druid Grove stuff

Ok that's good to know so I'll make sure to not to do that stuff. There was some underground area I can explore and more near the crash site I can also visit so I'll do that first.

definitely finish the grove n goblin quest line. If you go to the creche Mountain path the game will auto resolve the goblin grove conflict for you.

I'm really glad Starfield is out. I'm getting numerous NPC's doing nothing, turning Act 3 into a slog. I'm waiting for their upcoming oatch.

I just fought a large battle, about 15 enemies. 3 of them did nothing. When it was their turn, it took about two to three minutes of sitting idle before they ultimately did nothing and it moved on the the next person in the queue.

It helped me win the battle in tje end, as I barely made it out alive with two characters, but this is happening to at least one NPC in every battle now. The bigger the battle, the more idle enemies.

Anyone else experience this?
