Multiplat BALDUR'S GATE III

That's the great thing there's so much interesting stuff out there to do. Having a lot of encounters and quest come up that just feel natural and not cookie cutter side quest BS. I am desperate to change the way my monk looks but I'll wait until I get deeper in the game before that..

i stopped worrying about my looks ever since i got my eyeball ripped out by an icepick

Man the romances really got me scratching my head. Lae'zel is my current main romance which I'm totally fine with because she's my favorite character in the game but I got the option to romance her after I feel like I made a lot of decisions she disapproved of. Shadowheart keeps giving hints of a possible romance but never follows through and Karlach is the most platonic relationship I've ever had in a game. So I'm thinking being in a relationship with Lae'zel just locked me out of romance opportunities for other characters even though I've seen online people being in multiple ones, maybe I just did something different. But then without trying at all at some point every male character has pretty much told me that they'd love to gargle my cock. Maybe I just made the perfect gay character and I'm just fooling myself

Also the way selling items works is kind of stupid. I lost like over 150 gold because I didn't know I needed to balance before accepting the offer. Seems unnecessary to add that extra step but whatever that's a small complaint.

Glad you're enjoying it. Dragon Age on steroids is appropriate. I hope the Bioware team is taking notes!

I don't know if there's one quest I've had that I didn't like, or at least disliked. It makes you want to explore every inch of the map as there are so many worthwhile stories and loot scattered about.

It reminds me of the Gothic series. Like BG3, they are so densely packed with things to do/find.

I knew he was suspect but I let him pluck my eyeball out too. I reloaded a save, but kind of regretted it.

Since then I've tried to just stick with my choices, and simulate a real D&D game. It's more fun and leaves new options for new playthroughs.

I have reload like mad on battles often though, it's easy to get wiped out if you're not prepared. Trying new strategies is super addictive.

It's really cool how you think you made a bad choice and doomed someone, only to discover later on that you could remedy the situation. Sometimes you're stuck with losing an eyeball regardless lol, if you don't reload that is.

this might be the most wtf roflcopter thing ive seen in the game so far.

Lae'zel was good to go for me almost right off the bat, she was as thirsty as all the guys.

I don't know if banging more than one locks you out of things, so I stayed exclusively with Shadowheart, even though I want to mount Karlach. She's never even hinted at it though.

Jaheira's a total milf too, but that doesn't seem to be an option

Despite being with Shadowheart exclusively, Haslin has offered a threesome with her, practically begging me for it lol, same for Wyll's demon chick. Larian are full of degenerates :D

One goal for my next playthrough is railing Karlach, I will have her lol

I just got to the brothel in Act 3 and talked to the Drow twins in it for a reward and got the dialog where they offered a foursome with your partner. Lae'zel saying she doesn't share or like to be shared was hilarious and awesome. My wife was watching me play and she immediately liked Lae'zel for saying that lol. I was curious and looked up how other party members you are romancing respond and was surprised to see Shadowheart was down for it. She always seemed like a prude. Karlach was weirded out at the idea of them being siblings which is fair but didn't seem to mind you going for it. Larian definitely has their degenerates indeed.

Ok as long as I get this I'll be good to go. Man so I have a lot of the map still left to explore then.

Even with the message the quests/area got a bit convoluted and I missed out on a couple of important side quests.

Not sure where you are but it has to do with the end of act 2. Without spoiling anything, you'll have to go to the Moontower two different times, which didnt make sense to me, so I was doing a sort of quest circle around the map trying to get everything and then end at the Moontower since that was where the big bad is.

Being more specific, but still light on the spoilers:
Basically, you have to do with moontower (for the rescue) before finishing the gauntlet . But then go back to the Moontower after completing the gauntlet which gives more information about the big bad at the tower

For heavy spoilery spoilers:
I wanted to finish the gauntlet because thats how you weaken Keric and make him vulnerable. So I thought it was the natural order of things. I got the warning so I resolved open side quests in the area, but not the Moontower.

But if you resolve the Nightsong quest at the end of the gauntlet before you infiltrate the tower and rescue the prisoners, you cant do any of the rescue from the Moontowers (Tieflings, gnomes, etc) because the Nightsong quests makes you unable to complete them.

Its pretty convoluted and illogical to me. It made sense to me to weaken the bad guy first and then head to his base. As opposed to going to the base to do some quests, then leaving the base to do the gauntlet, then come back to the base with the new information.

Apparently theres some talk that Act 3 is not nearly as polished as Acts 1 and 2 and bugs can lead to some problems like broken quests, etc.

yeah its true but I found a few workaround it. For example if a companion cutscene gets stuck like Wyll, you would need to separate the characters from a distance in order to trigger it again on your reload. The other Jaheira quest when she got ambushed by the doppleganger harpers didnt trigger for me so I had issue getting the Minsc quest but I read that I just need to go directly to Nine Finger instead

Good to know for future playthroughs!

I just happened to rescue them while exploring the tower, didnt even intend on doing it. I still had to finish the Nightsong/Shar temple thing, so I guess I got lucky!

I've had several battles in act 3 now where one of the enemies just won't do anything. Sometimes it takes a minute or longer of nothingness before their turn ends. Once attacked they behave normally.

Some conversations just paused for long periods too. It hasn't been game breaking, but it does make for an awkward encounter.

Switching active party members and returning seemed to activate the dialgue though, but maybe it was just coincidence.

Fuckin A just got to the arcane tower, and let me tell you this place fucking sucks lol.

remember those arcane turrets outfront? well i took those things out with lightning, but it kept me in turn based combat. every time i would destroy them they would just respawn, but no longer powered up or anything. i went into the tower and took out two more. it kept me in turn based combat. i spent a stupid amount of time trying to figure out how to get out of it. i thought that if i just retreated my party as far away from the turrets as possible it would go back to normal again. but nope.

i even moved my party all the way into a completely different area and it kept me in turn based combat. i wasnt able to go to camp. i even walked my party all the way back to the nearest waypoint in the underdark but it wouldnt let me use it because i was still in combat!

im thinking the game is bugged or something so i reload my save and do it all over again and i still cant get out of turn based mode after those arcane turrets at the tower. so finally i start googling it and wasnt finding much, except for a random post on reddit where somebody was posting about pretty much the same issue i was. and the solution? uhhhhhh.....get out of turn based combat!

well normally it just switches out of turn based after i dispose of all the enemies...well considering those turrets just infinitely respawn that wasnt an option....but thanks to comment i read further down....it fixed it and i had an oof moment....turns out there is a command on the action bar to get out of turn based combat. derp. i was pulling my hair out and wasting alot of time just for something that i should have noticed by now, but this obvious feature has managed to elude me for this far into the game. i had to manually select it, but i never knew there was an option for it. i have a seperate button to switch into turn based mode when i'm not in combat, but not the other way around.

You can also turn Act 3 into a 5 person gangbang

they need to mod in the "I'm Here For The Gangbang" shirt for astarion

especially for that barn scene with the orc and the bugbear. thats still one of the most fucked up lol moments ive had in any games for a while. it totally caught me by surprise and had me rolling. i guess there's no way of talking your way out of that one!

I never tried to do that with my companions and then I looked it up and you get an interesting buff if you do lol.

i was gonna be an asshole in my second playthrough but i couldnt help myself from fucking around a little. wyll doesnt really have a place in my party. plus he keeps nagging at me when karlach is trying to bang me, even though i'm already banging laezel. i already had to stop him from killing karlach because if anybody is gonna team kill my party members, its gonna be me. on top of that he grew some kind of demon horns after he fucked around and found out with some other devil chick he broke some kind of promise to or something, who i ultimately decided to spare his life and he didn't seem very appreciative of it. so yeah, i guess it was time for him to meet his untimely demise. sorry, not sorry.

I really have no idea how to utilize a Warlock to its fulliest. My output with him seems rather low and the non combat utlity I needed like flying, gas form, teleportation is already provided by Gale. Maybe its just me but I get the most out of the monk and barbarian in combat than any other class. I might need to research the other classes for combat

my paladin was off to a slow start but when i got to level 5 i was starting to fuck shit up. i'm still starving for extra spell slots though. even some kind of a smite cantrip would be well appreciated.
