Multiplat BALDUR'S GATE III

Has there been any breakdowns of the ending?

Remember the '17,000 Endings' soundbyte from before it released?

I'm curious how 'Choice A or B results in Consequence 1 & 2' for the entire experience.

The developers didnt say there was 17,000 endings. Somebody said there were about 17,000 variations and that got picked up as different endings. Either way, at this point the endings are about the furthest thing from my mind.

I'm pretty sure everyone knew what they meant by '17,000 endings' by variations of a few main endings.

You must have missed the complaints, ha. This is gamers we're talking about, after all.

There are other ways. There is a potion you can get that will permanently increase your Str +2, there is a ring that will raise your dexterity to 18, etc. and then, yes, you can also select "ability improvements".

There is a necklace that increases your constitution to 23, a mace that increases your strength to 18, a hat that increases your charisma by 2, gloves that increases your strength to 23, and several other pieces of armor that give constitution increases and I'm sure I'm still missing/forgetting a bunch.

No one honestly believed there'd be 17,000 endings. That's impossible.

Given there's probably, at maximum, five or six main endings, then another dozen variations of another dozen sub-plots, those multiples can calculate up to 17,000 easily.

For example the Mass Effect trilogy, which I'm currently finishing, there's the main three - blue, red, & green endings, and who you romanced (or didn't), who's survived up to that point, and the choices made on multiple missions.

I haven't bothered to calculate it, but certainly there's got to be a few hundred variations total. Add another half-dozen choices and that multiples up to multiple thousands.

As for the 'gamers who are upset' I'm sure there's a few who are very loud and thrive on the attention of being outraged.

Ya still in act 1 with 44h 45m because of how I handled a certain mission already have my main stat for my warlock already at 20 . I legit just got done doing forge boss fight.

So how is everyones play length for each chapter? I heard Act II was supposed to be the longest followed by Act I and Act 3 being the shortest. For me its quite the opposite, Act II was quite short and I was able to complete all side quests I believe in 20 to 24 hours. However Im still in Act III trying t o do every single sidequest yet I logged in more play time for that Act III than I did with Act ! and II combined. Im just overwhelmed by the city quests

Playing right now n I'm currently at 49h 44m And still in act one. Ended up getting to the underdark really early and got sidetracked with all the quest and shit I came across. Currently only have one quest left for the underdark. Currently deciding what to do with the grove and goblins n if I'm going to rescue the druid or not. Then I'll head to the mountain pass

I'm 25 hours in and pretty much just finished doing the githyanki camp stuff on the mountain pass. I felt like I was pretty thorough with the Underdark and previous upper area while not obsessing about doing every possible thing.

I was about 45 45 (hours) for Act 1 and 2, but Act 2 I had to redo the boss
underground portion because I deleted saves.

I also found another quest and finished one I didn't realize I needed to, otherwise it would have about 5 hours shorter.

I'm glad to hear you find Act 3 longer. I love the city and already have a ton of quests.

Did you do the fight at the mind flayer's hideout
at the Emperors old hiding spot? I got my ass handed to me, despite taking out the portal guys right away. After a few attempts, I'm going to go back later lol

The one with the Gith attack? yes. Its harder with Laez on the team but I had to keep her in to trigger some of the dialogue scenes. Much rather use Karloch because of her frenzy ability to move around and quickly dispatch enemies .

Act III does have some bugs like if you dont take Jaihera with you to Dandelion Axe, you miss out on an attack scene to get a quest to reunite with an old BG favorite

By the time BG3 releases on console they are going to end up selling a metric shit ton of game copies.

Most definitely i also plan to probably buy it again whenever it decides to hit the xbox. Witch i usually don't do.

I beat the game today. Act 3 was great. The final fight was intense.

Going with a Drow Sorcerer on the next run and doing an evil play through.

Still salty I can't finish the game, started a new character and playing a run more evil with different characters.

after going to the Morphic pool you're supposed to get a cinematic and rolls to control the elder brain, I get no cinematic and go straight to the Astral prison and my TAV cant interact with anything, its affecting a lot of people

That sucks.

I plan on recruiting Viconia and Minthara in this run. I will have 3 drow in the party

I planned on recruiting Minthara this playthrough/ siding with the goblins, as I murdered her on my first playthrough without even talking to her. (her romance scene was  ), will probably recruit Viconia as well and shelf Shadowheart this playthrough (playing a DElf Rogue this time, previous playthrough was a Half Elf Paladin)

Is fighter, cleric, druid, wizard a good party set up?

Thinking of going paladin instead of fighter though
