Multiplat BALDUR'S GATE III

There is a necklace that increases your constitution to 23, a mace that increases your strength to 18, a hat that increases your charisma by 2, gloves that increases your strength to 23, and several other pieces of armor that give constitution increases and I'm sure I'm still missing/forgetting a bunch.
I read somewhere that the game engine only takes into account even numbers so if the gloves increase it to 23, you might want an item or stat that will push it by +1 extra for the 23 strength glove. Im assuming it doesnt stack so maybe a game oversight because tthe strength increase is actually 22

It is the standard DnD bonuses for stats
10-11 +0
12-13 +1
14-15 +2
16-17 +3
18-19 +4

well i havent really done much gaming lately but i just started a paladin, oath of the ancients type of build i guess on this game the other day. i found the 4 party members at the coast and then cleared out the Ruins and the Dank Crypt. but at first i was getting my ass handed to me. somehow i managed to pull through, and now i got withers in my camp.

its been a harrowing experience for me so far. even though i am literally nowhere in the game right now. i really need to get some fucking gear.

Totally hilarious thing I just figured out.

In the underdark in act 1, there is a wizards tower that has a chest on one of the balconies called "chest of the mundane". People are using the item as a bag of holding to carry all the heavy shit you plan on selling (the items in it get changed to nearly weightless spoons, bowls etc.) but I found an even more busted use. You can pick up the barrels of gundpowder/oil/etc in the the chest, and when you throw them they have the effect of the barrel but the weight of the mundane item (so you can throw 40lb barrels of oil/gunpowder a mile like you're donkey kong).

One thing I hate about these type of games I get way to attached to a single character to experience other love interests in different playthoughs. God knows how many times I replayed the Mass Effect series and always went back to Tali in every playthough no matter how hard I try not to. I see the same thing happening with Lae'zel. I just super love her character and find her personal story easily the most compelling so far (I'm also super into the her wanting to be dominated in the love scenes, reminds me of my wife ;))

Just curious how many here got
the blood of lathander
safely if you ended up coming across it in your playthrough just got it right now also I find it fucking hilarious that they currently people have been making sex speed runs

I need to get this game, but I'm terrified of the time sink that will inevitably happen.

This is actually my issue with these games is I have a hard time making difference choices. I also never go the evil route. The good thing is this game sounds like it has multiple good options just different ways of doing it. So should be setup in a way that I will make different choices if I do more than one playthrough.

My issue with games that usually have good and evil options is being evil usually involves being cartooishly evil like shaking Grandma down for quarters and kicking puppies all while making worse story options that seem to just hurt your playthrough more than add an evil flare to it. Being evil in this game actually seems like it has a lot of viable option for a fun playthrough while giving you a pretty different experience instead of a worse one were you're just a duck the whole time.

On my first playthrough I got every Legendary except the Digital Deluxe exclusive one, the one you get from Divine Intervention, and the Gith sword.

On my second playthrough I'm still in act 1 and got the Gith sword early by:

Casting invis on Lae'zel near the Gith patrol, walking her over to the guy that has the sword, disarming him, letting her die (or looting it if you somehow survive a turn) or invising another character, looting it, letting them die, then rezzing them both.) This gets you essentially the best weapon in the game for Lae'zel very early but there are some unintended consequences in that the gith patrol bugs out and will get turns in combat even if you're nowhere near them, I was in the underdark fighting and it would still transition to them dashing around the forests in Act 1 until you kill them or end combat with whatever you are currently fighting and it also causes Lae'zel to have dialogue with you about events that haven't happened yet in camp. This one really takes me back as you could do something similar in BG1 by pickpocketing Drizzt, then backstabbing him with his own sword repeatedly (running off screen with cheetah boots/hide/backstab/repeat) and then you had Twinkle/Icing death and +4 mithril armor to carry you

Looks an IED spam with invisibility will be used now

That was a great dungeon. The questline for the magic item was very fun. Also murdering everyone in the creche was satisfying.

Just finished Act 1 on my second playthrough (just shy of 30h, did everything, playing during work downtime so actual play time will be off as I leave the game running), but it is not possible to have Viconia as a companion as mentioned on one website, its complete bs.

Is there at least one companion for each class?

Yea, I make a lot of good choices and usually its Gale and Shadowheart approve, Astarion disapproves. In fact, Astarion has disapproved of so many of my actions I'm shocked he hasn't left the party.

I've been seeing videos where people say the "dark urge" is a really good choice if you want a compelling "evil playthrough." Even if you don't choose dark urge, the results of being "evil" still actually benefit you in BG3. I mean you could do a playthrough where you just go full illithid upgrades and dark urge and just finger blast the entire Sword Coast.

Just making a hunch on all the joinable companion aliignments but I will take a stab at it

Shadowheart - Lawful Neutral
Lae'zel - Neutral Evil?
Minc - Chaotic Good
Wyll - Lawful Good
Halsin - Neutral Good
Gale - Neutral Good
Karloch - Chatoic Good
Jahiera - Neutral Good
Minthara - Lawful Evil
