I feel like I’d really fuck things up with the reality or time stone.

Mind stone would be ok if I didn’t constantly have to listen to people’s thoughts.

You inspired me to make a thread in the Mayberry

Anyone else find it ironic Thanos gave up the Mind stone to Loki ... the only fuckin stone he had, and in the end he had the other 5 and had to get the mind stone back last, he should have been done when acquiring the time stone

And miss Thanos arriving on Earth?

So the Collector scene

Was it all a reality stone fake out .. even the diologue with Collecotor?

Why would I like -- I imagine it's like breathing for you - like suicide - so you do understand

etc etc

all that was a fake scene to trick out the guardians?

ummm

where is the real collector

He’s ded.

It was to see what Gamora would do.

Also, is it just the power stone that Fs you up if you hold it?

Banner held the spear (Mind Stone)

Jane was possessed by The Aether (Reality Stone)

Strange possessed the Eye of Agamatto (Time Stone)

Banner and Strange never touched the stone directly with their hand. The scepter and necklace held them

Just like Ronin's hammer held the power stone, but ronin got a bit fucked up holding it.

Even thor, it burned him slightly like putting a cigarette on his head, cause Thor's fuckin powerful

Thanos held the stones in his hand and I wonder if that's cause Thanos or cause in all instance he was empowered with the power stone???

As for Jane and the aether, first off fuck thor 2

Hmm. All 3 times i saw it, no one clapped for cap, and all 3 times they clapped for thor.

I dont clap.
I watched it during the first day of showing. There were so many people in their costumes (mostly spiderman) and the atmosphere was electric. People started shouting and clapping when Cap and Thor came out. Even my boss (an elderly lady) said Thor's entrance made her wet and people in the cinema went wild.

I think Thor's entrance was a bit more epic, but what I like about the Cap entrance was he was coming out from the dark. It kinda added to the dramatic effect..

How suicidal were the costumed spidermen?

Their casting is absolutely phenomenal, and really adds so much to these movies. Also, they were smart to go with the Ultimates versions. Cap and Tony in particular got quite a boost in their Ultimates makeover. As soon as I saw they had cast RDJ as Stark, I started to get cautiously optimistic that these movies were being made by someone that loves the source material.

It's not even just the main characters. Blanchett, Hopkins, Close, Redford, Elba, Rooker, Goldblum, etc. These movies nail the casting from top to bottom. I don't think I've ever had this level of confidence in a studio.

IW was such a triumph. Everything my 8 year old self wanted, AND everything my adult self wanted, in the same movie?!!

Hahaha i felt the same. MCU just made these series of movies really well, I didn't think it was possible. I remember more than 5 years back, talking to my non-marvel knowing friends how epic it would be to have the infinity war in the big screen but I don't think it was possible to make it epic. I always felt that Marvel is underappreciated (the x men movies are dogshit) and i'm super happy to see their genius being appreciated.

Agree again with the casting. When I was watching Ragnarok, I was telling the wifey how awesome Blanchett is for the role. I also was watching an interview with Hiddleston and was surprised how popular he was with the fans:

FYI a friend of mine named her son Loki because she's a super fan.. :D I'm amazed how Marvel can even make villains become superstars (i.e. Thanos) and DC can't even make their super heroes lovable. I lol'd at the Loki comic con entrance, where he makes a surprise appearance, insults the people and he still gets so much cheers.

There were audible gasp when he was disappearing, but the silence in the cinema was more apparent.

I think the bigger shock was when Thanos stabbed Stark, even my wife was like "oh no!!!" because we heard rumors that Cap and Iron Man would die in the movie. I also told her that both died in the comics so it wasn't going to be a surprise if it happens. Even I was expecting it to happen.

I get what you mean, maybe to elaborate further, I'm referring to the movies. Joker was pretty popular even when I was in high school, but Loki? No one knew about this dude, and they didn't even hire a popular actor to portray him. Btw DC did a good job in casting Heath Ledger imo.

Thanos was not very well know except for those who read the comics. Now everyone knows the guy even to the point that they're arguing if he's right or wrong.

That's the most amazing thing

And when you think DC vs Marvel

Marvel takes obscure characters most people never heard of and makes you love them and they become household names.

And DC, for the most work, don't do their super well known characters justice and fuck things up

yeah I know Marvel has done great building up all its charcters from Iron Man to Dr Strange. But they done really well with Bad Guys. DC cant seem to do shit right with villians.

Tom Hardly sucked as Bane and I have doubt on Vemon now cause of it.

But Stephenwolf and Aries were Trash.

Zod was great.

Lex was childish and not a Man that come close to threaten SUPERMAN

Doomsday could have been great is they used him to fight the JL instead of Stephenwolf. It would have been better Build up.

Marvel has had more hits with baddies. Thanos, and Loki( who they turned Anti-hero instead full bad guy was done well) but even the side bad guys like Ronan and Killmuger were outstanding in their roles.

Magento doesnt get enough credit for the Xmen movies. Fasburger nailed the part and is the best Super Hero or Villian on screen.

lol it used to be the other way round

Hope they introduce the F4 at end of infinity wars

I’ve watched this movie like 5 times since it came out. So good. I love the little exchange between Thor and Tyrion:

You’re about to take the full force of a star. It’ll kill you.

Only if I die.

Yes... that’s what kill you means...
