Agreed after the infinity saga is over I'd like for them to be done with the infinity stones stuff. Destroy them or whatever.

I could see an after credits scene where it ending with the hero's in possession of the gauntlet and wondering what to do with it to ensure no one ever gets that type of power again.

Strange is then given the Gauntlet and is shown standing in front of Eternity, The Living Tribunal and the One Above All with the discussion being along the lines of Strange saying he is happy to see they have all been restored as well now that they have undone Thano's damage and as per their pledge that the Gauntlet will be sealed away in such a way that no one will ever be able to wield the Gauntlet again, he is pleased to hand it over.

Without saying a word they nod in agreement, he hands over the Gauntlet and the next age of Marvel and Cosmic entities is made ready as they queue up the Eternal's Movie.

My take is if the stones are completely gone, then ya new direction, if not, it sets up for a possible illuminati later on especially with F4 and Xmen being purchased.

IronMan 2, were tony was in court going through his mobile had an illuminati. MCU is also notorious for subtle easter eggs for possible future references. Either way im ok.

Why stop there? They could both go back 5 minutes more, use the reality stone to grow 10 minute old Thanos a third arm and then have 3 gauntlets!

Doesn't seem to work that way. He can only control time in 1 area without affecting time in the rest of the universe. Similar to how Dr Strange was able to rewind the Apple in front of him in his movie. Thanos was able to rewind Vision's death while Scarlett Witch watched it happen. She wasn't affected by the rewind. I don't think Thanos can go back in time and meet himself.

I don't know much about all of this. I'm probably wrong. Just going by what I saw in the movies. Time travel works differently in all movies.

The stones being to powerful to destroy makes 100% sense and should be the way it is IMO. I liked the idea someone else mentioned about a possible way of getting rid of them (I think it was you). Unfortunately we already saw the Scarlett Witch destroy one so it is possible at least in the MCU. IMO I would have preferred them attempting to destroy the stone with a massive explosion happening and the stone remaining intact. The movie could have played out exactly the same way with very little change.

I saw this great video yesterday an showed Thanos using the stones in almost every fight scene. He pointed out how he combined the soul an power stone''s to stop his daughter but not kill her.

He really went full on when taking on Dr. Strange an Ironman at most points using 2 or 3 stones. Dr Strange he pointed out if Thanos did not have the soul stone he would have lost the fight will multiple Dr. Stranges.

He used the soul stone to out the real Dr. Strange an he used power an reality stones to break up the building that Ironman dropped on him an turned them into metallic bats or something.
The one thing he pointed out was Thanos cleaned Hulk clock without using any of the power stones power.
