Thanos curbstomping Iron Man is such a memorable scene because you have to give major props to Tony first of all for outlasting all the other heroes and still being in the fight there, but also because he still makes a go of it- first using that device to prevent Thanos from closing his fist to use the stones and then (after Thanos smashes it), kicking the gauntlet arm down and landing a big shot that draws blood. But then you see Thanos' amused nonreaction to the punch and after that Iron Man is just in pure defensive mode. That moment where Thanos just quickly breaks off the helmet and then Tony has to instantaneously use the nano tech to generate a new one or else he'll get decimated is some crazy stuff. Then Thanos just wrecks him from there.
It was also pretty cool to see Thanos have genuine respect for Stark. The "You're not the only one cursed with knowledge line" was pretty bad ass.

Also his line “You have my respects, Stark. When I’m done, half of humanity will still exist. I hope they remember you.” while Tony was stabbed made the audience gasp. I was expecting Tony to die.. My reaction when Thanos was about to end Stark was

Battle on Titan > Battle at Wakanda

It's not even close. The camera and audio was amazing in Titan while the Wakanda one was pretty shitty.

I liked the Wakanda battle but the Titan was leagues better as you said. I think it had to do, in part though, with the way that the Titan battle varied from the usual formula. Typically in Avengers films, we've seen the epic battle where The Avengers crush a ton of cans and the only threat was the sheer volume of the villains rather than what they actually brought to the table. Wakanda battle fit the same template even though the Outriders at least appeared to be more dangerous than the Chi'tari and than Ultron's pawns. Plus there was at least the added factor that Black Dwarf, Proxima, and Corvus were shown to be extremely formidable and were involved in that battle. But otherwise, it definitely felt like the typical Avengers large-scale fight.

Titan battle was far more focused- with several heroes taking on the big villain of the film. So unlike the typical heroes taking on an overwhelming number of villains who are individually no match for any of them, you had some very powerful and effective heroes banding together to take out a far more powerful entity wielding the most powerful weapon in the universe. The early portion with the team work with the implementation of Quill's plan was absolutely awesome, the weight of the moment where Starlord flips out was well-acted and tense, and the mano y mano segments with Strange vs. Thanos and Stark vs. Thanos were tremendous.

The conversation the past few pages of this thread is at such a high nerd level that I'm starting to well up. I'm so proud of you guys.

Strange creating butterflies and then multiplying after got everyone in the theatre's going "wow!" Especially the women.

I'm super hyped for Strange in whatever he's in now. And I love how they used his cloak in the movie! That cloak is awesome. The cloak had a bigger part then Cap LOL. I kind of wish Stark would have reacted more to the cloak. Then again, he's battling aliens on a spaceship in space..

War Machine was awesome in the battle of Wakanda. I'm very interested in seeing why they kept him and Rocket alive while everybody else except the OG Avengers died.

Hmmm...

Singularity to Butterfly sequence is the GOAT moment in comic book movie history

Yeah War Machine was killing it. Really took charge of all the aerial stuff. Cool too to see him and Sam as buddies after they were contentious last film appearance together (with Sam also being at least somewhat responsible for his injury).

Hopefully Rhodie gets to do some cool stuff in the next film. Rocket was awesome in IW and I'm amped he will be around for the sequel.

Also looking forward to Rudd being involved in the next installment. Lang is a lot of fun.

The cloak is epic.

That scene was really a comic book brought to life. It's so hard to do a good super hero team vs one villain fight, choreography wise. But it was flawless.

Everyone had a purpose and a moment to shine, just beautiful.

Shuri asking Banner why he didn't build Vision a certain way made little sense, since it was Ultron who made him. The South Korean company he hijacked as well.

Or did Banner and Stark create the blue print?

No, it made no sense.

Tony and Bruce created Ultron who then tried to put his program into Vision.

So they are still responsible for how it was put together. Ultron wasn’t recreating the wheel. That was my take on it anyway.

I think Ultron uses the tissue generating chamber from Dr. Helen Cho, the mindstone, and stole vibranium to start the process of building his ultimate body. The idea being it was going to be his consciousness in an indestructible final form.

But when Cap, Nat, and Barton abduct the capsule and the mind stone within it, it gets delivered to Stark and Banner who revamp the process in order to get Jarvis’ protocols and consciousness into the created body.

The movie wasn’t clear, as far as I recall on how any of this is done, but it did seem that Stark and Banner had to reprogram things in order to make it so Jarvis’ consciousness would be fused with the virbrabium body by way of the mindstone.
