Avengers: Endgame has the potential to become the highest-grossing movie of all time, but there is no guarantee that it will keep the spot for long. The Avatar franchise isn't going to take the defeat lying down, as there are several new Avatar movies in the works, with the first sequel coming in 2021. There is also the case of the Star Wars franchise to consider, as Star Wars: The Rise of the Skywalker also has the potential beat Avatar and Avengers: Endgame at the box office.

Fierce list. Sabretooth had an impact on me as a kid. Guy was like a horror movie villain. I was legit afraid for wolverine and the xmen whenever he would show up. Definitely my favorite wolverine villain.

And Magneto is up there with Doom. Both have an argument for best villain of all time. Marvel has some seriously underrated villains.

I can't like this post enough.

It's like you read my mind.

The biggest unanswered question.
Did the avengers try the stew thanos was making in the beginning of the movie?

I would have.

I bet Thanos could cook his ass off.

And he still nearly killed everyone he fought.
I would not mind to watch a Thanos single movie just wrecking shit and being Thanos. Like, gathering power, setting Black order up, getting an army, starting the hunt for the Stones. Film should end on Xandar with Thanos getting the Power Stone after disposing of Nova corps. Then IW happens.

Yes.

Yeeeheeessss.

YYYYYUEEEEEEEESSSSSS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Because Thanos only kills half. It's his entire MO you simple fuck.
You retard, the Asgardians that were on that ship were already destroyed prior to Thanos acquiring the stones. If your logic is Thanos only kills half, how can you explain Thanos killing all of Gamora's people before abducting her? How about how he had acquire the Power Stone, without not having taking out all of the defenders at Xandar?

but he didn't kill all of gamora's people.

Correct. Infinity War shows Ebony Maw telling Gamora's people to separate into two groups. Gamora's mother is in the group that are wiped out. Later, when Thanos is talking to Gamora in his ship, he tells her that her home planet is now,

"A paradise. Children born since then have known nothing but full bellies and clear skies".

It's funny to see a group of guys who will probably bitch about Disney in many other contexts cheering them on for making more money. Way to fight the good fight - Disney really needs that last 100 million... Next week it'll be "Damn Disney and their politics/buying out studios/whatever!"
Yeah the sycophancy is strong regarding this movie.

thanos’ MO generally was wiping out half the planets he attacked even before he got the stones. Even with the Gamora flashback in IW I think you can see that the population on the ground is divided up on sides and the one side gets mowed down while Thanos is talking to young Gamora.

The only out of the ordinary thing with that instance is the Maw outright says to the overwhelmed populace- “you must choose” as though he’s giving the people a choice whether to align with Thanos and those who don’t will be the “half” that get killed. Generally it seemed like Thanos would just randomly wipe out a certain portion of the group as was his dispassionate philosophy.

So with Asgardian crew you get a little bit of a grey scenario there. Thor outright says when he’s talking to the Guardians that Thanos killed half my people...

So it seems he and Black order applied their usual tactics- killing many and letting half go. But I think Russos might have weighed in on Valkyries fate before people knew she was in Endgame and they said she and others got out in the escape pods. Which again- I guess you could assume with Thanos’ massive ship, those pods could have easily gotten wiped out but if you operate under the assumption that he was going to kill half rather than all anyway, then it makes sense that they got away.

Basically however you frame it, the poor Agardians had a horrible time- army wiped out by Hela, barely flee their home planet before it is destroyed, get quickly caught by Thanos and co., half are killed and then another half (on average) die via the snap.

You should go back and check Thanos storyline. There was a reason why they call him the mad Titan and that was because he decimated his home planet, sparing noone.

Or people just like different things. I have no problem saying these movies suck if I don't like them, but I really enjoyed it. I understand the complaints people had but they didn't bother me.

Wow you are dumb. Like actually dumb.

There is an actual scene in IW where Thanos assembles the people of Gamoras homeland. They are split in two groups, half are killed, shot down, and half are spared. Do you not remember that scene?

It is his MO. He kills half of the population, people by people. I don't know how else to explain this to you. Its laid out clearly as fuck in IW. It doesn't matter how many Asgardians remain after Ragnarok. The numbers are immaterial. If there is 10, kill 5. If there 1 million, kill 500k.

Can you wrap your brain around that?

Dummy, fuck his "timeline" or whatever you are referencing.

It works one way in the movies.

It's been explained to you multiple times. There are actual scenes to reference. There is nothing to debate.

I thought it was ok. Just a let down after what what set on a tee in IW, for me. I just worry going overboard for a bit above mediocre is setting ourselves up.

There's a huge tone shift for sure. I've talked about it at length itt, but I think that was necessary to wrap up such a looooong story.

Haha you are retarded Keep following the movies and ignore the comics. Tell us more about MCU

Nah homie. You an average marvel guy who thinks he’s knowledgeable just because he saw the movie twice. Better start Wikipeding the Thanos and then get back to me

Stupid, you asked how it worked. I"ve told you. A few other posters have told you as well. We are discussing the movie. You're asking about the movies.

I couldn't give a fuck about being an "average marvel guy". I clearly understand the movies better than you do. You're posts are bordering on full on retard.

There is nothing else to discuss. You asked a question, and it had been answered. It's simple, there are scenes in the movie and quotes in the movies that address your movie. You've been an indignant smartass for no reason, and you keep chirping like a doofus in the face of the very answers you were looking for because you didn't like them.

You can kick rocks now, dummy.
