Yeh I was meh with that scene. Definitely agree Bucky, irregardless of his lifelong friendship with Cap, and what they have went through together... has too much blood on his hands. It would be ridiculous.

Falcon is as good as anybody I suppose so that's fine if they find that gesture necessary.

Personally, I don't think anybody needs to be cap america but cap america. Falcon is fine, his character is cool already.

But whatever...if this passing of the torch gesture is necessary, Falcon is ok. I liked the guy.

Agreed. Not mention that it hasn’t been explicitly covered whether or not he has had his mind fixed. Sure he’s been in Wakanda healing up, but it’s never been said if his mind control issues are fixed.

As soon as I saw that shot, I recognized it for what it was, but it isn't a big deal. The entire last fight was a fanservice fest so I dunno why the fanservice-for-women shot frustrates people.
^this.

People tend to only notice fan service when it is directed at groups that are not them.

I think most big action movies with big ensemble casts have that 'rally point' of fan service where all the 'hero's' are shown in unity for that 'booya' moment whether it makes perfect sense for them to assemble like that or not. . Its nothing new.

What some people hear when overall you loved the movie and the characters (including the female ones), but you simply think that all of the female heroes grouping up for a photo-op in the middle of an important battle was cringeworthy, eyeroll-inducing and out of place (which imo, it was all 3):

Gonna be a photo finish for the worldwide title.

Yeah the 3 hour Runtime is now playing agaisnt it , also the fact that there are more movie choices in the Summer. Next up Alladdin then the Week after Godzilla

The world needs more of a "that's not for you" mentality across the board. You don't like a bunch of women superheroes all in one shot? That's not for you. You don't like an all female reboot of a "classic"? That's not for you. On the other hand, you don't like a gratuitous ass shot of a female super hero? That's not for you. You don't like a female character with zero depth who's only purpose is to be sexy? That's not for you.

I feel this way about the Captain Marvel movie. I recognize it panders to women and that's fine. Women need some movies where they can feel strong and powerful just like some comic readers pretend they're cool when they dress up like their favorite character.

We're 4 movies deep and I legit had no idea she was the hot chick from Jumanji till last week

Oh shit, that's her? <45>
I'd recognize that walk anywhere.

She is cute. Seems like a funny gal too. Doesn't take herself too seriously. An endearing quality. Especially for someone attractive.

Chris Hemsworth a good example of the male version. Poor Thor ... LOL

Wow... I fucking hate Thanos for putting her through all those awful experiments. Couldn't even tell with all the makeup she had on.

Wait for the Hulk Hogan biopic. He's going to be overly muscular... and balding.

Goodbye awesome hairline and hello cocaine, steroids, and bandanas.

Yup.

I just wish they cast a more likeable and energetic actress for CM. I know Bri is an Oscar winner but I find her unremarkable, dull and unlikeable in this type of role. Emily Blunt would have crushed this role and who cares if she keeps her hair colour.

That also would have been my Choice. She was Fantastic in Edge or Tomorrow

Her first major role was in Doctor Who. She's a decent actress; able to deliver comedy and drama:cool:

Watching that clip above.. just such a trip watching/hearing Nebula's voice coming out of that woman. Last thing I expected. Wow, she's actually appealing and kinda sexy. Furthest thing away from the vibe I get watching Nebula. LOL

Seriously I didn't love every single thing, but you don't have to whine like a child because there are minor elements you didnt like. That 5 second girl power scene ruined a 2 and a half hour movie!

Ok..... well you are a lunatic then.

Tough concept for people

The one scene just before the final battle, with Thanos just sitting on the boulder....

"You could not live with your own failure...

Where did that bring you?

Back to me...."

Chills!

Initially, on my first viewing i only had it at like a low 8/10, but on my second viewing I have it more like a 9.1/10. It's a great movie experience made for the fans. Some of my gripes became less of a deal on the second viewing, but I still have some issues with it.

- Having Thanos get owned in the beginning takes away the drama and menace of his character for me. Even in a weakened state. Just psychologically and emotionally it breaks his image as someone who is practically unstoppable. This took away some of the suspense in the last big fight scene of Endgame. It would be like showing any other villain who is supposed to be incredibly imposing and dangerous getting owned in some weakened state early in a movie, like Vader getting kicked in the balls and rolling around coughing. It's similar to how I don't buy into Kylo Ren as much as I think I'm supposed to because he got owned by Rey in the first movie. Cap wielding the hammer and fighting him at the end though is probably a top 2 moment in MCU for me though, second only to Dr. Strange and company fighting Full Gauntlet Thanos on Titan.
- I didn't really like the infinity stone heist scenes much. I just felt like I was rewatching old scenes from old movies and it wasn't very suspenseful. Black Widow's death was not emotionally impactful for me because i had already watched that same scene with that same music but with much better build up and narrative weight.

Those are really the only things that stand out to me as dislikes for the movie now. I used to have a bigger problem with cap's ending, but I like it now. Also knowing what happens with Tony at the end made me appreciate the Tony scenes in the first 1/3 of the movie more. I don't really like the casting of Captain Marvel, as others have mentioned, so I'm glad she wasn't involved much in this movie. That was a big concern of mine going in. I know there are some plot holes and some missed opportunities with some characters but overall I felt like it was really fun, some emotionally striking moments, and it wrapped up most things in ways I was satisfied with. I don't put it past GotG, Infinity War, or Winter Soldier. Infinity War overall I liked better, by a lot I think.

Finally saw it today. Loved it.

The Thor scenes were my favourite. Laughed hard at the Korg scene.

Tony’s final message to his daughter...I almost lost it but managed to keep it together.
