Guess RDJ Doom is destroying whatever’s left of Fox’s X-universe.

Still hoping a “real” Doom shows up at some point. RDJ is such a wacky choice.

That's what I'm hoping for. Alternate universe Tony Stark is a Doom variant, then he gets smoked by the real Doom played by a very closely guarded secret actor.

If they want to make a splash half these characters need to die, not just the B-list heroes either, the ones we care about.

Make the Doom saga kick off with a real "doomsday" of massive carnage that makes the "Snap" look like a school yard tussle.

Damn you.

He was one of the best parts of the original trilogy.

Agreed. So either doom will be Tony Stark from an alternate universe, which means Victor von doom doesn't exist.

OR

He's Victor von doom but for some reason he just looks like Tony Stark? Maybe they use that story where doom switches minds with Tony?

Comic book fans might be able to piece together all the convoluted paths necessary to have everyone sync up, but the casuals are going to be fucking lost.

Is Marvel trying to put the biggest-cast-at-the-lowest-salary-cap together? All the Wal-Mart characters with a sprinkle of Saks Fifth Avenue? One A-lister for every 5 B's or C's?

- The "coolest" MCU's good guy's the bad guy now
- Captain American's black
- The Falcon's hispanic
- Johnny Storm's white
- Do we get Point Break Thor back?
- I am a Pedro Pascal guy, but I believe John Krasinski would have been a better choice as Mr. Fantastic
- Channing Tatum's iced out for decades, but Deadpool makes it happen and now Remy's in the MCU? Lame and weak.

I can honestly say, I don't actually care about most of those characters. People are desperate to see a GOOD superhero movie but I'm not sure this will be the one though. I see two saving graces for this film. The fact the Russo's are directing, and that Ghost, Yelena and the Invisible Woman are VERY easy on the eyes.

Marvel Studios‘ clever live five-hour-plus announcement of the cast of Avengers: Doomsday was their biggest livestream, bigger than any premiere red carpet, pulling in 275 million digital views Deadline is told and 3.1 million social mentions.

The livestream began yesterday at 8AM PST and lasted for 5 hours and 27 minutes. That number is also more than 5x the social volume of the Deadpool & Wolverine Super Bowl trailer (currently the most viewed trailer of all time) from last year. Hour over hour the audience grew to what is the most view cross platform livestream stunt.

The stunt yielded over 55 distinct trending terms on Twitter/X throughout the day with #AvengersDoomsday holding the #1 trending spot on Twitter/X for over 7 hours. After 24 hours, the official Marvel YouTube livestream was at #2 on trending.

The stunt was a pop cultural event, spawning memes across verticals and brands (XBOX, F1 Racing, Empire State building, Merriam Webster, Minions).

In total 27 cast member chairs were unveiled including, but not limited to the cast of The Fantastic Four: First Steps, read Pedro Pascal (Reed Richards), Vanessa Kirby (Sue Storm), Joseph Quinn (Johnny Storm) and Ebon Moss-Bachrach (Ben Grimm/Thing), but also the return of 20th Century Fox/Marvel X-Men cast member OGs Patrick Stewart aka Charles Xavier, Ian McKellen aka Magneto, Alan Cumming as Nightcrawler, Rebecca Romijn as Mystique, James Marsden aka Cyclops, Kelsey Grammer as Beast and Channing Tatum as Gambit. Also cast members from this summer’s kickoff Thunderbolts*, i.e. Florence Pugh, Wyatt Russell, also play key roles in the mega ensemble MCU feature from Joe and Anthony Russo.

There were also seats set out for Chris Hemsworth, Anthony Mackie, Sebastian Stan, Letitia Wright, Paul Rudd, Tenoch Huerta Mejía, Simu Liu, Lewis Pullman, Danny Ramirez, David Harbour, Winston Duke, Hannah John-Kamen, Tom Hiddleston and Robert Downey Jr.

But get this…everyone that was announced…there may be more. Chris Evans, you around?

Posted Downey, Jr. yesterday, “That’s what you call a deep bench of talent…actually it’s more like a row, but an extra long one…that must be it…right?”

Responded Marvel Studios’ handle, “There’s always room for more…”

They seem to be alluding to even more characters being in the movie. Maybe they are just cameos where they all explode and die, but that is a lot of folks
