If you think this show isn't a woke fest you are blind. You literally struggle to find any white males among the cadets.Haven't hated Starfleet so far - its better than the woke fest Discovery imo. Shame as discovery could of been great if not totally agenda driven.
The ugly fat lesbians who wrote the show.Who do they honestly think wants to watch ugly fat lesbians?
Came here say to this. The ugly fat lesbians who wrote the show.
If you enjoyed old Star Trek for what it actually was, then academy will fill you full of rage and sadness. It’s everything the haters said, and I wish I had my time back more than anything. I almost feel personally disrespected for some reason.Star Trek has been terrible for decades. I enjoyed Star Trek 2009 and Into Darkness for what they were, but Star Trek hasn't felt like Star Trek since Voyager.
To say Star Trek Starfleet Academy looks atrocious would be giving it some benefit of the doubt. It looks worse than atrocious.

At least present us with some questions about a lot of the nonsense they throw at you. QUESTION THINGS!!! That is what we loved about older Trek! They would present you with odd and different scenarios and make you question things. Explore and question. That’s the spirit of the fucking brand…Its a LBGT........ tv show with some sci fi elements in it n maybe some Star Trek lore thrown in.
I try and not think about who the show runners are so I’m not looking at shows from a certain angle. I see this is wrong. Very wrong. It seems certain folks simply cannot remain true to certain brands, and they feel compelled to destroy whatever they touch and they keep getting hired. I will definitely keep these things in mind moving forward. These names are going in my book of unwatchables.Kurtzman has stated that his prime directive is not to make Star Trek shows. It's use them as a platform for BLM, NAACP etc.![]()
Yeah, a lot of these IPs are captured by woke cultists. they don't care about it losing money since they hate the original anyway. their only purpose is to destroy.Kurtzman has stated that his prime directive is not to make Star Trek shows. It's use them as a platform for BLM, NAACP etc.![]()
Its hilarious that Kurtzman does a way worse job at promoting socialism than creatives before him did.Yeah, a lot of these IPs are captured by woke cultists. they don't care about it losing money since they hate the original anyway. their only purpose is to destroy.
Every Trek had black people in it. Every single one. It is legit terrible imho. It feels wrong at every step. Though you should of course watch for yourself and see. See if you think it captures the spirit of the franchise for yourself. So far, I’ve heard it’s terrible from Sherdoggers, which means it has black people in it.
I’ve heard it’s terrible from my boss, which usually means it’s actually good.
And I’ve heard it’s really good from my friend, which means it actually sucks.
So I’ll have to watch it to decide for myself, which defeats the entire purpose of recommendations, God dammit.
it's been obvious for years the kurtzman trek writers were not star trek fans/don't know the lore for shit. There have been countless lore/cannon breaks since the first discovery episode it's insane. How do these people fail upward so hard?
(from the first discovery episode, setting the tone for the contradictory cannon breaking dogshit that was to come)
i guess wheelchairs for fun?

The logic of starfleet doesn't even make sense we are even curing obesity now in 2026 with drugs like ozempic by 3200 it would be gone. They also would have gotten genetic manipulation to the point were they could make everyone heterosexual before they were born with DNA changing although that is kind of a slippery slope there into eugenics.
And douches wouldn't be a thing either, so I doubt anyone would be calling each other that in a 1000+ years. In Star Trek IV when the crew go back in time to the 20th century, Bones is horrified by the medical technology, regarding chemotherapy as being on par with the Spanish Inquisition. He meets an old lady who tell him she waiting to undergo dialysis. Bones replies disgustedly, "What is this, the Dark Ages?" and gives her two pills.
Later we see the old woman surrounded by doctors who are trying to work out how her kidneys have regrown.
And that was nearly a thousand years before the events of this show. Medical technology would have advanced exponentially, to the point where life threatening illnesses or injuries today would be little more than minor annoyances. Logically*, there wouldn't even be much in the way of human diversity, beyond racial differences. Because almost everyone, no matter what colour they were, would have their genetic codes manipulated to code for maximum health, strength etc. Fatties and Fuglies would have gone the way of the Dinosaur.
