Crime At least 10 killed, 30 injured as vehicle crashes into New Orleans crowd

100 percent. At least we've withdrawn more and more from the Middle East as of recent. But as long as we keep supporting Israel we'll just keep being a target too.
Trumps return and murking Soleimani and Israel destroying everyone around it has bought us at least a nice long hiatus I think

Wait so this guy is a US Citizen and US Military Vet and people in here are already blaming Iran for this?

The Cyber Truck bomb guy and this guy both served at the same military base together.

Something fishy here...

Inside terrorist Shamsud-Din Jabbar’s squalid home, where sheep and goats roam his yard — Jabbar lived in a squalid trailer park on the outskirts of Houston that is home to mostly Muslim immigrants.

The neighborhood is also within walking distance of the local mosque, Masjid Bilal — where no one answered the telephone on Wednesday.

Law enforcement sources told The Post that they found videos Jabbar made where he referenced the Quran — Islam’s holy text.

One neighbor told The Post she spoke only Urdu, Pakistan’s national language.

Jabar traveled to Egypt for 10 days last year, officials told The Post.

By mid-afternoon, the feds swooped in — kicking The Post and other journalists out of the area and cordoning it off.

Dozens of police vehicles swarmed the neighborhood, including an armored, military-style truck.

He lived in a Muslim community with some people that can't speak English.

Journalists were at his home before law enforcement. The FBI looks like a complete joke.

"Impulsive, violent guys way down on their luck" make perfect cannon-fodder for people at the top of the food chain. And not just in the case of religious terrorism. A certain Austrian chap started a meteoric career in politics by convincing a load of unemployed army veterans they he could lead them to the Promised Land. If they obeyed him and killed everyone he told them to...
Oh definitely, he was absolutely radicalized. Just saying his life circumstances seemed to have played a part. I thought maybe his divorce had something to do with it which it does seem to but he was also floundering in business too. Of course most sane, decent people don't go on killing sprees over a divorce and a failing business.

Right? It’s almost as if humans are tribal by nature and get enough stupid ones in a large group and they become violent too.

Kinda.

There are lots of social conditions that lead certain groups to become peaceful and others warlike. Anthropologists already answered this 150+ years ago when studying and observing "primitive" groups.

But no racial, ethnic, or cultural group is inclined to be any more or less violent. To suggest this is kinda fascist-y.

Islam is definitely the sleeper cell / Manchuria candidate religion. Feels like anyone can turn at the drop of a Taqiyya
Studied many religions 30 years ago. Straight out of the scriptures Kooran, the only time a man can cut his hair is to infiltrate non-believers and convert, fails then OK to use them for profit, fails then eliminate. Terrifying procedure straight out of the book.

Taqiyya has rules to study, it's a requirement, a horror show, and their DUTY.
I like Disturbed Reality but he does get info wrong. Still, he's good for a general overview of cartel history

Here are some other cartel channels which also get info wrong and are pretty sensational but still give you a decent look into cartel history

Deep, scary stuff.

Kind of sounds like the opposite to me, more of an impulsive, violent guy way down on his luck and more than willing to take it out on others. Was this fucking bum really part of a terror cell? Are the others like this too?

Taqiyya? No need to make excuses. He had an ISIS flag.

They’re now saying he acted alone. It was reported a while ago that the other few people (3 men and 1 woman?) they wanted to talk to have been cleared. Based on the divorce and financial hardships, I was thinking lone wolf but still wouldn’t be surprised if they find an accomplice(s). The planted IED story was a strange one.

I think you're recalling an essay by Stephen King titled "What's Scary?". It was included as a foreword in the Danse Macabre 2010 reprint and Fangoria #289/290. King on the 2004 Dawn of the Dead remake:

"What haunted our nightmares was the idea of suicide bombers driven by an unforgiving (and unthinking, most of us believed) ideology and religious fervor. You could beat ’em up or burn ’em, but they’d just keep coming, the news reports assured us. They would keep on coming until either we were dead or they were. The only way to stop them was a bullet in the head. That’s exactly what Snyder’s zombies are, it seems to me: fast-moving terrorists who never quit. You can’t debate with them, you can’t parley with them, you can’t even threaten their homes or families with reprisals.”

That might be it. I like the movie and I haven't watched it in a while so I'll go dig out the DVD and listen to the commentary later.

So this guy was ex-Special Forces, but apparently built a VBIED that only managed to kill himself?

The Fail is Epic with this one.

it gets lonely out there for a terrorist

He went on a rampage at 3am. I wouldn't say it was well thought out.

Maybe not most, but it does happen. Divorce and financial ruin are a mitigating factor in many horrific acts. Anyone looking to radicalize this guy would have used the difficulties he was facing as a tool to indoctrinate him into a heinous act.

I don't think these groups are looking for well-adjusted people that are doing well in life, as their recruitment base.

That's a good point. Maybe 1130pm?

But maybe that spot is always crowded on NYE well into the wee hours of the morning and that's why he picked it.
Bourbon St is where the Mardi Gras goes down. He definitely picked it to get as many casualties as he could get. I’m sure it’s packed on NYE
