Rumored Aspinall willing to be released from the UFC?

What a remarkably stupid thing to have said.
How so?

Pav was probably just as noteworthy, ok fair enough. But he did lose by tko to Blaydes, and the UFC would be just fine without him lol

All his other big name wins were exclusively first rd finishes.

There was roughly a little over a minute left in rd. 1 when the eyepoke occurred.
4 mins in was practically uncharted water when compared to his 5 best wins

There's lots of stupid shit on sherdog, this isn't an example of it, though.

Yes. Yes it really is. This poor chap is advocating for letting the champion of the weakest division in the organisation leave. And citing a knee injury which prevented a fight as some sort of black mark on the guys name.

That's really fucking stupid.

He also made the claim that the UFC will 'be alright' if the above happens. As if arguing against someone who has made the opposite claim, which, if you can read, was not a part of my post.

Lots of different kinds of stupidity.

You're clearly upset, who with? His knee got janked up as a result of the fighting they were engaged in when it happened. If it wasnt caused by an illegal move, that's technically a loss by knock out (tko)
Pantoja lost his belt in a similar manner recently.

The rest is just you repeating how obviously mortifying this insinuation is to anyone who can read lol

The lady doth protest too much

Thats what people say when they have nothing intelligent left to argue... "you seem upset" lol.

Just so incredibly lame lol.

And this is after you called a post remarkably stupid despite it being factually accurate, lol
Then you skipped right past the point about the T in TKO being relevant before pivoting to

"lol so lame you think i care? You care!"
This is how toxic chicks try to run subterfuge upon being pressed to back up their theatrics

Lol you're so far off the point it's hysterical. And you apparently like to make things up too! Just like the other poor chap youre trying to respond to things I've never even said lol. the fuck is wrong with you exactly?

Do we have any proof the UFC ever offered him 30 million??

They've never offered anyone close to that amount before, it's not believable at best.

Ya Jon might say they offered him that, but he's also a liar and it preserves his market value if people believe he actually got that offer. Last I heard the UFC were trying to work something out in the middle east to pay him, but was the offer ever sent to him? Dana implied it was some kind of verbal agreement that didn't materialize.

Conor never made close to 30 million guaranteed, I just don't believe the cheap ass UFC ever sent a contract or planned to pay that amount.
People treated it as fact even before Jones said it. The UFC willing to bankrupt itself to pay a guy that produces average numbers? Make it make sense.

from the top of my head the exact same scenario happened in the Anderson's tko victory over Coté.

His approach and demeanor has just come off a bit weak, soft, In a sport where you need the dog In you to survive at the highest level.

In contrast, look how Cyril gane has handled this situation. He has apologized showed remorse, humbled himself. He's not trying to tear Tom down. He's not saying things like "Tom looked for a way out" "he knew he couldn't win" or gone on any twitter tirades about his opponent. Meanwhile tom is accusing Cyril of the absolute most in the least classy way possible. Just seems to have gone back to training and preparing to fight but is not doing theatrics or even trying to have people change their minds. He's looking better by doing less and just shutting up which Tom can seem to grasp

Letting Aspinall go would make the UFC even more of a joke.

Losing multiple Heavyweight champions is bush league shit.

That said, no wonder Tom wants out.

As always, the UFC refuse to pay to give fans a show. Shame on them.

Yes, Jon himself literally admitted he was offered 30 million.

Smart move by Aspinall. He has the leverage and if the UFC releases him, he can either go to boxing or fight Ngannou in the PFL where he would make at least $1million.

Ordinarily I wouldn't advocate for a champion holding up the division, but it's extremely hypocritical for the UFC to demand this from Tom after they let Jones stall and waste everyone's time for a year.

Really hope Tom gets released and starts making real money boxing.

Worked out for Francis.

U Fight Cheap is a joke.
