He beat the top ranked HW in Pavlovich when he was on a five fight first round KO streak and got the interim title.

He wanted to fight Champ Jones but Jones led him on for a year until he decided to retire.

Since he was Interim Champ that meant the title was disputed, Jones walking away from the fight meant there was no longer a dispute and the interim becomes the only tile as it's now undisputed.

He also wiped out half the top 10 in a combined 12 minutes.

I’d be lying if I said Dana and the matchup cronies aren’t petty enough to do some thing like strip Tom, it really would be like cutting your own nose off to spite your face. I think that the disconnect is simply that Tom doesn’t want to rematch Gane right yet as Cyril is a repeat fouler and shouldn’t be rewarded with another consecutive title shot, Gane has already fought 4 times for the title going 1-2-1 NC, it’s ridiculous that they keep offering up title fights to Cerial after losing 2x and getting a NC on the last attempt.
