Well as i said before. He needs to keep his stock to have any chance to make money in boxing. He already damaged his "resume" with all incidents in last +- 4 months. Imagine he came back and lost. - His stock would be absolutely dead. So his best "money move" is to turn to boxing till his fans are still believing his story and is somehow valuable for potential promoters...

I could certainly see Aspinall leaving and then being offered life changing money to fight N'Gannou in the middle east. They could easily market it as former champion who never lost his belt in the octagon, and the current UFC HW champion. I also wouldn't blame Aspinall. He was messed around by UFC and made to wait, fighting majority of the top 10, while Jon waited and picked his first and only defence. which was a past his prime, pretty much retired Stipe, while never defending once against a single top 10 opponent. Then you hear and read that Dana and UFC is/was blasé about the HW division as a whole. On top of that the comments from Dana about Aspinall's injury setback. The UFC seem to be going backwards. The talent recruitment is pretty meh these days, especially at HW, and their matchmaking is becoming frustrating.

Well his father said even before the Gane fight that Tom wanted to go to boxing and leave the UFC. Ofc Dana took it badly and was sh**ing on him after the Gane fight, so it doesnt surprise me.

Dana let Jones cfu** around for 2 yrs with the belt without having to fight Tom as the interim champ, hell Tom even had to defend his interim belt and now Dana wanst to strip him after 3 months after getting ilegally fouled? I can imagine Aspinall would say fu** you lol.
