Aspinall welcomed his new boxing coach Stipe Drviš in the camp ahead of a fight against Gane.

Drviš is a former boxer (you may know him by his english name Drews :)) who held WBA's light-heavyweight title.

In MMA world he can be familiar to you because he was long time Cro Cop's coach. So, he coached some really dangerous striking fighters.
<mma4>

He is also Ante Delija's coach so that explains how he met Tom Aspinall.

Aspinall needs to get someone in his camp who can coach on how to defend oblique kicks

He'll need it but he'll most likely be looking to take Gane down. Once Gane gets any sort of traction while striking, he becomes VERY hard to stop. The more confident Gane becomes on the feet the more likely he is to finish that opponent. Even Francis resorting to taking Gane down after losing the range game with him.

Yea, no wonder, Aspinall is hanging out with Croats often and wears Croatian red and white checkerboard on his gear. Aspinall is basically half Croat at his point.

Who knows, maybe he will have custom made Cro Cop's style shorts for UFC 321.

hope he doesn's shake things up too much. if it ain't broke, don't fix it.

He need Aljo as his coach.

i didn't notice any improvements (except for the tattoos)... same combo, same habits...

He gave a decent account of himself standing but that round was confirmation that striking with Gane is definitely not the way to go for him. The rematch will be very telling, if he is the well rounded guy he was billed as he has a lot more to work with than what he showed and can make it a very different fight.

He needs a kickboxing coach to teach him how to throw kicks and knees without dropping his hands every time.

btw those punches Curtis and Alex threw all didn´t land. Maybe the first gif Curtis punch barely made contact. The Volkov punch didn´t touch his head, he lost balance.
