Thats debatable ,now move to an extreme nut job thread, quit talking your crap in here.
You offer nothing to the Armatix debate.
Guns are only a part of my life in a negative way. When I visualize someone holding a gun, it's not me pointing it at a deer or whatever. It's someone threatening me or my family. To me, guns symbolize violence and misery and not much else. Certainly not freedom. Not having to worry about being shot by my fellow citizens would be much more freeing than owning a gun.
Not really. Pretty big power differential between a guy with a knife and a guy with a gun. I could outrun the knife guy most likely, or at least have a fighting chance if I had to fight. If you have a gun and decide to kill me, I'm probably dead. Acting as if they're equivalent is beyond asinine.
which ones? related to 2 and close friends with 3. Im also an FFL dealer and I specialize in high end AR's so im lucky enough to deal with/make friends with all kinds of vets.
but you're getting off track here, i would suggest watching the 2 short vids i posted above

That has got to be one of the most skewed points of view I've heard. You really need to change the channel from Law and Order to get a different exposure to guns.
Responsible gun owners are some of the best people in the world. I'm not saying that owning a gun makes them a part of that group . . .
Hunting is one of the best hobbies/activities a person can become involved in IMO.
Acting like everyone with a gun is planning to shoot you is equally as asinine.

Not every poisonous snake is going to bite me, but I still avoid them all. Why? Because they're dangerous. A person with a gun is inherently more dangerous than a person without one simply because they've upped their power to cause harm considerably. You can of course argue that they're only dangerous if they decide they want to hurt someone, but I don't want to count on someone else's forebearance for my safety.

Someone who immediately goes to feeling threatened by the thought of a gun has issues IMO.

What I do feel threatened by is the mindset of people who represent the pro-gun movement, the type of people who bring AR-15s to Cliven Bundy's ranch
If someone is carrying concealed chances are you'll never know it . . .
You didn't drive a car today did you?
Don't count on someone else's forebearance for your safety.
Think about it. You are placing an irrational fear of an inanimate object over other inanimate objects. Tons of things are dangerous - many of them moreso statistically than guns.
I fear you have just made him paranoid. I fear ppl with guns and cannot tell who is armed and who isn't - might not be an ideal situation to say the least.
I don't feel threatened by guns per se, in the sense that I can walk by the gun counter at Dick's and not be scared or upset. What I do feel threatened by is the mindset of people who represent the pro-gun movement, the type of people who bring AR-15s to Cliven Bundy's ranch with the real intent to shoot BLM officers, or who stage armed sit ins:

People who really believe that they need to stock up weapons to protect themselves against the federal government, and really would start shooting if they felt threatened. It's a toxic culture that makes the country less safe for everyone. So yeah, if I see a guy in orange tramping through the woods with a shotgun I'm not scared. When I drive by a skeet range I'm not scared of the people out there shooting pigeons. When I walk by a guy at the mall with a holster and a Molon Labe shirt, I get edgy because that's a person I don't trust with any measure of power because I think their worldview is skewed the point where I don't trust them to act like a normal, reaonsable person with that power. Is that clearer?
