Media Ariel Vs. Schaub Mega Thread

I'm making stuff up? You cherry picked a few of his top videos whom obviously it was the guest that sold the show, not Ariel. On his page on YouTube his 20 last videos range from 980 - 190,000 views (being the Fury interview) with most on about 5-15k. I can't be bothered doing the math, but the clips are averaging 10k views. That would be pocket change for a YouTube revenue account.

I have friends in bands who are on Spotify. That doesn't mean them or Ariel are on Rogan spotify deals. I don't know why you are even arguing with me...are you trying to say Ariel is some sort of multi-millionaire? Because he's not and I wasn't criticising his bank account to start with. I'm also saying he's not the best personality for hosting a platform, which is subjective, but you are a blind loyalist if you think he is built for camera time.

He is an established, well prepared and prominent independent MMA journalist. Probably the best if you go by notoriety alone. What is wrong with that?

There's multiple websites putting his net worth at around 6 million. Also, MMA fighting is doing around the same numbers as the ESPN MMA channel while being an independent outlet. Quit talking out of your ass and take your L.

Your friends have deals with Spotify to provide a certain amount of content per month? or they just upload their music to spotify?
Do your friends do ad readings during their content like Ariel?
Certain ads pay $400-$5000 depending on how big the platform is. Ariel probably makes close to $1000 (maybe more) off ads per episode on spotify.

Yeah, you made stuff up. I quoted your posts and refuted the false statements you made. You're even proving that you made stuff up by back pedalling.

Ariel was making close to 500K for 3 years from his ESPN contract. https://www.bloodyelbow.com/2021/4/...talks-500k-salary-ariel-helwani-mma-editorial

There's a very high chance that Ariel is a millionaire. Not that I give af.

lol dude, I'm not a troll, what am I backpedalling on? Seriously, look at the post history of our conversation.

I said he likely wasn't getting more from his MMA Hour show than the ESPN deal, because WHY WOULD HE HAVE TAKEN IT TO START WTH. You said he got low-balled by ESPN for his renegotiation, but how? What metrics are there to back this up when there's only one bidder?

Think about that. I'm not his fucking accountant and neither are you. Someone making 500k a year SHOULD be a millionaire after a few years unless you spend your money like a rapper. If he is a multi-millionaire, good for him. I never slammed him for pretending to be rich and I never wished he wasn't. I hope he's doing well. Just like my original post said (which you have gone waaaaaay left of), I doubt he is making more than his original ESPN deal, because why would he have left his own show to make less money for someone else?

Is he implying you have to go on Schaub's podcast to get to Joe Rogan's? Lol @ paying to get guests to eat tacos with him. I watched a couple of those Food Truck Diaries and Schaub can't interview for shit.

Didn't even read the conversation, did you?

I never said he was broke or a millionaire. I said he wouldn't take an ESPN contract to begin with if he was making more doing his own thing. Who quits their own business to make less working for someone else?

Helwani-Schaub is fake beef.

It's tofu.

It's not even tofu, it's bean curd, unprepared.

It's a little bit of entertainment that surrounds the business that serves only to elevate the two as key personalities.

Why the hell would an actual journalist give a shit about what some goofball says on a podcast and give it THIS much publicity unless it's in his interests to do so?

Helwani is all in on the pro-wrestling aspect of this. he's feeding off the drama.

But you think this guy is in on Ariel talking shit about his whole career?

It's well known that Schlob has no takes of his own and just regurgitates everything Luke Thomas says, and Luke leaves it be because he has a strange obsession with the man.

Schaub helped Luke get the job at Showtime so he doesn't give a shit. he also doesn't give a shit about Brian Campbell mocking Schaub.

Dont know if its fake, but is ariel really wrong? When he listed off things, thats a list of failures. What would the pay off be for brendan?

Why hasnt brendan been on the jre in some time? Has he been on since spotify? Ive not listened since the spotify move.
Probably part of the negotiation from spotify. "Look we want your show exclusively but you gotta stop having that Schaub guy on so much...or just not at all."

You never replied to me debunking your first reply either, buddy. Second of all, ESPN offered him a contract LOWER than what that he originally signed, a pay downgrade, which is why he left. Since he was expecting a pay raise after his first contract, it is plausible that his expected return on a renegotiation played a factor in him signing the first contract. When you account for his MMA fighting pay, substack, ad revenue, gigs with Showtime etc... it is very likely he's making more than 500k a year; otherwise, HE WOULD HAVE RESIGNED WITH ESPN and not chosen to walk away. You don't even have the basic facts straight - Ariel declined their renegotiation offer because it was lower pay; he wasn't fired.

As someone who doesn't like or care for Ariel or Schwab, Ariel doesn't exactly look much better for saying 'I don't have to pay fighters to come on my show.' That's because you're practically one of the very few MMA-centered shows that barely anyone watches.

I very much doubt Ariel is liked by the fighters he has on his show, its free publicity, which translates to more attention on social media, which translates to better spots on MMA cards, which translates to more money.

So yeah, Ariel isn't directly paying fighters to go on his show, but they do get paid for being on his show.

BTW, no, I'm not taking Schwab's side on this. They're two shit stains feuding over which is the bigger shit stain.

Joe's L.A. based friends aren't flying to Austin just to hang out.

Imagine trying to present yourself as an intelligent adult on a message board. Yet, you sink to the LCD?? I don’t give a fuck for the clown. But, I don’t turn my posts into first grade trash take because i can come up with a pathetic take on a name.

That’s literally what a lot of you take for humour, and whit? I take it for ignorance, and the inability to being clever enough to come up with something better.

And you clowns are only in the first few replies. I’m sure many more thought exactly like you did as well. Get together for a circle jerk, amongst the lowbrows.
I've been railing against that fad of changing someones name for a bit. I never understood how people think it is somehow clever or an insult. It really just makes the person doing it seem like they haven't progressed beyond the first grade.

Dude you go into all this detail and the summarise it (again) with something I never said: I didn't say he was FIRED. I said he priced himself out of negotiations, which is exactly what happened. You keep bringing up his income like that is relevant - I've no idea what amount he is making and it doesn't really matter.

I didn't read anywhere that he was offered a lessor amount...have you got a source on that?

You are jumping on my words and twisting them like I'm the one who priced his contract lol

Ariel is just begging for Schaub to do some sort of collab with him so he can catch some of Schaubs clout.

Shit Ariel is kinda going in on him here, I fucking love it.....and I hate Ariel.
