Yeah I did a double take at that too . Fouling in the cage, ped use out of the cage, AND blatant ducking isn't "extra shit""Extra shit" being stuff that disqualifies his record lol.
GSP had 13 title wins to Jones 17. GSP is definitely a legend by any metric and one of the greatest of all time. With that said and to your point Jones beating literal generations of fighters in title fights NEVER LOSING is incredibly difficult and something I don’t see anyone else accomplishing. You may not view that highly but it is a pretty incredible feat that only someone that wins a belt at an early age (jones at 23) and consistently just fucking winning over the next 15 years whenever stepping into the cage is something we will likely never see again. It’s arguably more difficult to win 17 title fights over a 15 year period always against “the next big threat” then being more active through your prime and riding that momentum while in your glow. Jones entered the UFC at 21 and retired at 38 without losing a fight at the highest level. I view that as something pretty crazy even if he’s fighting slightly over annually during his title run.He barley fought since he won the belt. By that same logic there are even more "different champs" since gsp became champ
“Magic the Gathering”Esports don't work that way. Hell if you're a serial cheater in magic the fucking gathering they will ban you for life and revoke all your tournament wins. In pretty much any competitive endeavor large or small, cheaters are shunned and banned and their wins overturned. Even in low level comp like videogames and card games cheaters aren't excused.
No, that is Fedor. But then again, my favourite fighters retired a decade ago. He’s your favorite fighters favorite fighter. Is what it is.
lol..![]()
It's time to face it, Jon Jones is not the 'GOAT'
Ariel Helwani begins the show with his reaction to Dana White's announcement that Jon Jones retired and vacated his heavyweight title.us.yahoo.com
Can't wait to see how petty PED Jon is going to respond.
Out of curiosity have you ever been to an MMA gym? I’ve trained at many big camps for most of my adult life. ATT, AKA, Blackzilians etc etc Jones is by far the most common name brought up when we talk about the goat amongst fighters. I was even a part of Rashad’s camp vs jones at imperial athletics (first home of Blackzilians prior to our move to Jaco training facility). I was second row for the fight. Jones is a different level it’s always been the general consensus amongst the MMA community.lol..
Literally, the ENTIRE mma community KNOWS he’s not the GOAT.
That's the point man. Even in a card game tournament they ban repeat cheaters for life. But beating people up and giving them brain damage for money is less serious and should have less serious consequences?
I think many of you would be shocked to realize how many fighters juice. I used to be pretty naive about it but our sport is wrought with it. I would be shocked to find a top5 guy at any weight that isn’t on something banned. I’ve seen more than my share over the last couple decades. That's the point man. The Olympics also ban people for life and strip medals. So from hobbyist competition to the elite of the elite, there are a lot more examples of cheating being a huge deal that completely destroys your legacy than it belong so big deal because you won.
Lance won a lot of bike races too.
Watching you clowns jump on Helwanis dck because he has the same shit take as many of you is hilarious. Jones is the mma GOAT it’s really not even a debate.

Ok so yet again, even if you believe everyone juices you can't just label everyone as a cheater when plenty of people have never been found guilty of any cheating. Everyone is secretly a cheater is just a flat out BULLSHIT argument when EVERYONE is not popping multiple times. Full stop.I think many of you would be shocked to realize how many fighters juice. I used to be pretty naive about it but our sport is wrought with it. I would be shocked to find a top5 guy at any weight that isn’t on something banned. I'd still consider him the GOAT if you take out PEDs. His early career I tend to give him a pass considering everyone was on something at the time the one thing that makes it questionable is his USADA performances. Most of us already knew he wasn't the GOAT.
And he lost to Gustafsson and Reyes.

Yeah. Jones being "undefeated" usually puts him at the top for most. I can see an argument for GSP. He revenged all his loses and aside from the Hendricks fight (who most think at the time he was juicing) there were no questionable wins on GSPs career. Personally, I was never all that excited for a GSP fight, mostly because you knew what was going to happen every fight. Same with Khabib but towards the end he started to redeem himself by finishing people.I don’t think PED discredit him
I believe all fighters at that level are in something.
Resume wise Jon is the goat
Goat debates are also subjective.
It’s hard to quantify a career. At the end of the day is personal preference.
Why keep talking. It’s clear he’s top three
Who ever you pick as goat is always debatable.
For me it’s GSP. But you can argue his loses and taping to strikes
