No to all of it.

Even the vegans I know are only vegans because they're dating or married to a hippie, then order steak or seafood when their hippie wife isn't around.

I eat basically twice a day but honestly I'm thinking into slowly going vegetarian. Maybe not 100% but I want to stop eating so many freaking animals.

I wish my body didn't rely on so much protein to feel right. I don't know how else to get a lot besides chicken and meat. I love animals though, turning more and more hippy as i get older. I want to save them all.

I eat meat basically for the protein. I have a hard time gaining muscle and eating protein 4 times at day definitely helps with that now that I'm lifting weights.

With that said.. lentils and chickpeas are awesome and have quite a lot of protein. Beans too if you like it. You just need to find ways to actually enjoy them.

nice. Ya Beans! my dad eats pretty much that for his protein. Freaking Farting and shit when I go visit him lol. I'm glad I at least cut back on my red meat/ steaks. I only eat super lean ground beef and grilled chicken. Tons of veggies, fruits, fats fiber stuff.

Good for your dad if he can stick to it.
90% of my food comes either from meat/eggs or fruits/vegetables too. Definitely way healthier than sugary processed crap.

I think about converting to vegetarianism more and more, or at least cutting out pork and beef.
I'm a hypocrite, I love eating meat, but I don't like the whole factory farming situation, and I don't think I could kill a pig or cow myself, unless my life was dependant on it I guess.

I mostly eat chicken anyway, and fish in sushi.

I'm 6' 200 pounds, have been lifting regularly at the gym for 4 months, and I know for a fact that animal protein is key to gains.

Chicken.
Pork.
Steak.

Am I in favor of factory farming? No, and I favor new laws banning it. But am I willing to sacrifice being a carnivore to protest factory farming? Oh hell no.

Its like we all hate China's human rights offenses, including concentration camps for Muslims, but are we really checking everything we buy for a 'Made in China' sticker to be sure we're not supporting China's economy? Nope.

So, I'll be still eating meat for a while.

Im not a ghey so obviously not a veggo.

Being a vegetarian would be possible but fucking being a vegan. All that meat substitute stuff is complete garbage though.

First thing doctors ask when somebody's getting treatment for mental problems is if they're vegan, then they load them patients up on all the vitamins and minerals they're lacking.

OP pussied out on adding it.
That is not the first thing they ask you. I’ve seen various doctors for my mental health issues and they never ask if I’m vegan. Do they at some point recommend a diet full of healthy food? Yes. But there’s more important points to hit.

The only person to ask if I’m vegan has been my pharmacist, just because I’m on a cocktail of drugs and need specific vitamins to go along with them so they don’t wash me out.

Psychic breakdowns, I mean. If someone's brought in in a condition like that and checking on lack of nutrients isn't on the priority list, those specialists are no good. Which is common. Most doctors will be quick to diagnose everything from multiple sclerosis, depression, to Alzheimer's and put someone under hard treatment when the main factor is mineral and vitamin deficiency. People have been literally brought back from the brink of suicide just by upping their magnesium levels.

Anyways, sorry to hear about your issues. Can be an isolating problem when others think you're fine on the surface.

was ovolacto fro 10 years
eat chickne and fish now
coudl easily go back tho i eat a ton of planty

Cheeseburgers, roast beef, milkshakes and stuff like that stuff tastes too good, f#ck eating a bunch of seaweed.

I’m not vegan or vegetarian and I don’t want to be one.

Oh that’s bull. I went vegetarian at 11 years old, so 18 years now. I’ve had no problems at all with using the bathroom, or with my digestive system.

Absolute twaddle.

Anyway, surely drinking the milk that another animal produces for its young is unnatural? Not that I believe that's the same as saying it's wrong, mind.

Exclusively eating plant based food will mess up you natural biota. Plant fiber is indigestible, it will claw at your digestive tract as it passes through. The high amount of stool you continuously produce will slowly alter your body's response to the stool. These are some of the things that could lead to digestive problems.

I did a quick internet search:
https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC5571937/
"Conclusions: This study suggests that a long term vegetarian diets could be associated with irritable bowel syndrome. Nevertheless, further studies are needed to confirm these results, and investigate the multiple aspects of the vegetarian diet, possibly related to the IBS."
