Are you a Blackjack or Poker guy?

Blackjack. Much easier for me to deal with a dealer turning a 6 into 21...than watching some donkey hit his flush on the river and smash your pocket A's.
On the other hand, cracking some asshole senior citizen's AA with a runner-runner flush is even better than splitting and doubling all the way into a dealer 22.

Poker for me.

More specifically No Limit Hold'em. I'm not a gambler but when I was overseas the club on base would hold twice tournaments and the entry was free if you were a member. As a senior NCO, of course I was a member. It was a great crowd and everyone played hardcore because the grand prize was a NICE grip of $$$! I won a few times and I after I figured out what I was doing, people would groan when I sat down. When I won gave it straight to the wife.

I'm nice like that. :)

Man I used to love stuff like that overseas. In Kunsan they were throwing cash everywhere for whatever we felt like setting up (Pool, Poker, Ping Pong)

Blackjack and Slots. Craps cost me alot money in short time frame. I never win at that shit.

and I am to emotional for Poker. I read easy

The guys that got knocked out of the tournament early played a "practice" game for "points". ;)

Neither I hate those games.

If I had to choose, I'd go with Blackjack though. Less to it, more fun.

Definitely poker. It’s just more fun. Especially Texas Hold ‘em. There’s a reason it became so popular. It’s awesome.

Both, but only blackjack when I am waiting for seats at casinos or if I am playing with friends who don't play poker. I will very occasionally dabble in slots if the theme is fun. Saw a game of thrones one I thought was hilarious.

slots can be fun

You just live with it if that is how you get beat. People shouldn't complain about bad play because it is a losing strategy in the long run. I like Texaz Hold'em because there is correct play and it takes discipline to play correct. There is reading your opponent but correct play is usually what gets you in the positive.

I can't tell you how many times I had to bite my lip and congratulate the sucker on playing such a great hand. A couple times I went off though lol. You're right that complaining about bad play is really stupid. I have a lot of respect for people who can be outwardly happy about losing to a shitty play.

I recently moved from a 40$ poker table to a 200$ one and walked away with a rack of $1,060. God damn that felt good. I was running hot though. I had three (88) hands in a row, and flopped 888 twice. Dealer said she'd never seen it before. I announced I had 888 on the third hand, and they all folded, had to show.

You are kidding yourself if you don't see the increased potential for failure in a poker match vs blackjack, with regard to player performance. MUCH more variance with your long term EV. I agree with the discipline aspect though.

Black Jack, only time I ever win anything.

I've played a ton of 3-card poker my last couple times. Done well too. Teh pleasure pitt at planety holywood has hot chicks in fancy underwear as dealers. Would recommend.

I will paly craps too- with one major rule. There must a at least one brother at the table. It legit enhances the table's odds.

I know Poker is the sexier game but I suck at it so I play Blackjack.

Poker, craps, blackjack - in that order.

I generally make the most money playing poker. Regularly goto Borgata NJ for my poker fixes.

But when it comes to heaters, nothing beats a great craps heater. I would name my unborn child after a hot shooter... that's how much fun craps can be. although when it's bad... it's horrible...

yeah if I lose from making a bad play I am really embarrassed. but when I win from making a bad play I am like god damn I was super lucky. and when i encounter someone who makes a bad play at me but wins I actually don't feel that bad. I made the correct play, they took a risk I lost.

last time I played I was in a 3-way pot with this chick and another fellah. she went all in and I called chasing a straight that I shouldn't have chased but I semi-low on chips so figured why the hell not. I caught my straight on the river she went ballistic and kept on calling me an asshole for calling. I am like 92 out 100 times, you win that pot. you want someone to call u in that spot. yes luck kicked you in the ass but i'd take that on any given day.

Gearing up for a trip to Vegas this summer. Probably will be playing both at some point

Blackjack I enjoy because the whole table is against the dealer and it can be pretty fun provided everyone knows how to play. I do count cards ( although I usually only do so when I hve the table to myself)+ basic strategy, so I usually do pretty well. But it sorta depends. Sometimes, getting drunk and just playing is fun too.

Poker, i enjoy because of the atmosphere. Trying to fool the other players, etc. its fun stuff.

Anyways, for those who gamble: do you prefer blackjack or poker?

I guess you haven't heard. They came out with the best of both. Actually, it started about 5 or 6 years ago with one random table in the occasional poker room, but this game is taking over casino floors.
