Are powerlifting weightclasses accurate in competition? They have 24 hour weigh-ins.

She was competing in a usapl meet. Lifters in usapl do weight cuts, but they're not as drastic as those competing in feds like uspa. Typically with a 2 hour weigh in you can cut 5-15lbs without losing much strength during meet day. So your girlfriend is partially correct, lifters do diet down but they also cut weight as well.
 
Lol. What's wrong with that? If a male UFC fighter loses to a female UFC fighter whether or not she's the top one, would you consider him a professional? I would slap the male fighter if he calls himself a pro though he would kick my ass, which is another story.
does your gender pro rule only apply for sports?
 
You’d think weight cutting for powerlifting would be tough and counterproductive m, outside of say 5-10.
