Are Hardcore Conspiracy Theorists Retarded?

I could tell you about the time I fucked Scarlett Johansson.

That doesn't mean it's real.

The problem is all the real things that actually were conspiratorial. Anyone can bring up reptilians and flat earth and say derp, aren't CT's funny, those people are retarded but it denies all the real conspiring that happens.

I went over this in the OP and multiple times in the thread: I'm not denying the existence of real conspiracies. Nor am I mocking legitimate lines of inquiry.

I'm talking about the people who draw conclusions based on zero actual evidence.

I would say that isn't accurate, maybe its just semantics but they do have evidence. Its just the sort of evidence that you wouldn't consider evidence. Is flat Earth real? No its not real, but if you want to go gathering evidence that Earth is flat then you can do that and find some. It also does nothing to address misinformation and disinformation put out by governments and corporations to distract people from actual conspiracies.

So I would say its a complex system of mind fucks.

That's why I said "actual" evidence.

Perhaps, in line with the OP, I should have said "substantial evidence". No one has substantial evidence that the earth is flat. The premise has been beaten to death. Just like no one has substantial evidence that a dude running a pizza place in DC hosts a child sex trafficking ring for the DNC. Just like no one has substantial evidence that nuclear weapons brought down the twin towers.

But people believe those things to be true.

Government doing shady shit? That's a conspiracy that's real. But the government having the ability to hide aliens from us? They aren't competent enough for that. Any theory relying on a massive amount of people to keep a secret from the rest of the world is dumb.

Not to mention this theory relies on aliens only visiting this one small area of the world and no other places.

In my opinion anyone who willfully assumes they know what is real or not without any hesitation or looking into opposing opinion is a fool. As such they are fooling themselves and proving to lack any kind of ability to discern or critically think on an independent and individual basis.

For example out of all the poster's that have given there opinion itt, how many of you are astronauts? Has anyone of you gone into space? Let's cut out the shenanigans, none of you are and never will be. With that being said I'm not here to say the world is flat nor am I saying the world is round. Because honestly I've never been to outer space personally myself to make that conclusive of an answer. So that means I have to depend on the word of others to believe what is plausibly true or not. (hence how a sucker is born every minute / day) & (That shit would never fly in court for testimony if I appealed to authority. Expertise has to be proven.)

I look at it like this. If I accept 100% of the time that what NASA is telling me is true, then I'm just allowing myself to be a sucker eventually. Further along;

I.E So does that mean that if NASA tells me pigs are blue and have wings to fly, that I should believe that's true simply because NASA said so? Of course this works both ways. I don't assume the world is flat, nor do I assume the world is round. Given a totality of everything I honestly have no opinion on the matter.

I see it as several things on the part of people as a whole.

Willful ignorance
Willful pride
Willful fear
Willful belief in experts
Willful belief in masses
Willful belief in popularity
Willful belief in appealing to authority
Willful desire to avoid ridicule
Fearful of what you may or may not find.

I'm not the smartest guy that's going to sit next to you on bar stool at the bar, but I far from being *retarded*

For instance;
My high School SAT score was 1350
My military ASVAB was a 92 out of 100
My MOS was 6386 (Top secret clearance)
I have Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering & Bachelor of Science in Public Health.
I was a Police Officer for 7 years and then transitioned into Firearms examiner (Of which I have been the past 5 years)
I make as a base salary 120k a year without considering all the OT I make for call outs, on call, and Court.

Oh and btw I do thoroughly enjoy my share of conspiracy theories. Cheers.

That's fine of course you're entitled to your opinion

However I assure you I'm completely sane.

Get saved beer accept Jesus
They have no idea what's coming.

For me, ever since Israel was reformed as nation, we could go at any moment. Nothing is guaranteed, except for that command to, "Come hither"

Daniel's 70th week. Israel celebrating 70 years as a nation this year, anything is possible.

I'm always thankful for every moment. God bless you brother.

Its not just what NASA is telling you though is it? its what an absolutely vast array of different sources are telling you and offering various different forms of well supported evidence to back it up.

Very few people on this subject will be in a position of "ignorance" as a result.

Oh I quite realize that nearly every nation in the world has some type of space aeronautical entity. At least those above a *3rd world nation* category.

But I also understand this; For 2016, the NASA budget is $19.3 billion

And while I'm not inclined to come out and say they are flat out lying. I also know that greed is motivator for some of the greatest atrocities this world has ever seen. Plus I've never been to space have you?

I'm a skeptic through and through. I don't like to jump to unnecessary conclusions if I don't have to. And at the end of the day, regardless if the world is round or flat, it doesn't really change anything about the future and the fact that anything can happen at any moment.

Normalcy bias is a thing. Hence why people thought the world was flat prior to it being round. Who knows maybe a thousands years from now people will think its flat again. Does it really even matter?

I'm talking about all manner of scientific research that tells us the earth is round going back literally thousands of years.

Maybe if society collapses and we revert to some primitive existence then the majority of people might believe in a flat earth again.

Take it easy Eddie

There are absolutely conspiracies out there but some people look for a conspiracy in EVERYTHING.

Guys like Eddie Bravo think everything is a lie. He and people like him are basically taking a "guilty until proven innocence" stance. I just thinks that's the wrong way to go about life. If everything is a conspiracy, nothing is a conspiracy and that's just not how things are.

Eddie's entire Flat Earth stance is because of seeing YouTube videos and his distrust of NASA and the government. He thinks every single picture from space is fake because he sees an article stating that space pictures are Photoshopped. Not knowing that "Photoshopped" doesn't mean fake, he runs with it. That's how these things get started. Yet if you put him on a rocket and he saw Earth from space, he'd come down, say "I guess I was wrong" and then move on to the next conspiracy like nothing ever happened.

I'm always curious how many false flag operations have gone on around us. It seems like they only admit them years later when no one cares.
