Are Hardcore Conspiracy Theorists Retarded?

They have no idea what's coming.

For me, ever since Israel was reformed as nation, we could go at any moment. Nothing is guaranteed, except for that command to, "Come hither"

Daniel's 70th week. Israel celebrating 70 years as a nation this year, anything is possible.

I'm always thankful for every moment. God bless you brother.

will this be the second coming of christ?

For you non conspiracy guys. Which ones do you believe are true, false or possibly true?

1. Roswell and/or any other landing/coverup really being aliens from outer space.

2. 9/11 being a false flag. Can be as simple as the gov knowing of the plans but doing nothing about it to cause war.

3. JFK being shot by Lee Harvey Oswald alone. Either not being the lone shooter or being tied to the CIA/Mob etc.

4. Federal Reserve enslaving everyone through fractional banking.

5. Bigfoot being real.

6. Initial moon landing being faked.

7. Secret societies of any type that run the world.

I wouldn't say I'm non-conspiracy but I think they are hard to pull off. People give the government and humans in general way too much credit.

1. Roswell and/or any other landing/coverup really being aliens from outer space.

I used to be a huge Roswell believer growing up. As I grew older and saw the evidence, I'm convinced it was Project Mogul. The initial report of a captured flying saucer was interesting but what people leave out, it details the wreckage as string, tinfoil, and balsa wood material. If alien ships are made out of that, they deserved to crash. Project Mogul was a special type of high altitude balloon that flew off course. While technically a weather balloon, it was unlike any weather balloon at the time. It was huge, had radar targets, a new type of foil material and yes, string and balsa wood. The balloon was designed to test for radiation in the atmosphere to see if the Soviets were testing nuclear weapons. The weather balloon story was 100% a coverup and conspiracy but it was to protect national security.

2. 9/11 being a false flag. Can be as simple as the gov knowing of the plans but doing nothing about it to cause war.

I don't believe it was a false flag. I do think it's highly possible that some people were tipped off that an attack was coming thus certain people not being in the World Trade Center that day along with the interesting stock sell offs. I also think it's possible that the government might have even known it was going to happen but either called their bluff or possibly let it play out so they could have an excuse to go to war in the Middle East. I think the latter is stretching it though. I think it's pretty well established that the government knew of the plot but just blew it off and didn't think it could happen. As for Tower 7, it's possible that it was a controlled demolition but if it was, I think it was to prevent further attack, to bring the building down in a controlled fashion or there could have been fear that the building was rigged to blow. I think the collateral damage was just something that had to happen for the sake of the country if this is the case.

3. JFK being shot by Lee Harvey Oswald alone. Either not being the lone shooter or being tied to the CIA/Mob etc.

Likely a legit conspiracy. Tough to say if it was the CIA, mob or Cuba but someone wanted him out of there and Oswald was likely a cover story. People have to realize, the government's job is to protect us, the country and our interests. If Cuba someone how managed to take out JFK, you aren't going to want to admit that a foreign entity infiltrated the country and was able to do that to our President. It's a much better look to blame it on a wacko.

4. Federal Reserve enslaving everyone through fractional banking.

Pass on this one. Just don't know enough about it.

5. Bigfoot being real.

It wouldn't shock me if there was a Bigfoot-like creature that existed in the not too distant past due to all of the Native American stories. It could just simply be folklore though. I don't think a Bigfoot exists in modern times.

6. Initial moon landing being faked.

Stanley Kubrick was definitely approached by the government to film a moon landing. Landing on the moon was an utmost important moment in our country and I think we would have done anything to be first which includes faking the moon landing. I do believe we actually went to the moon however but I also believe we had a backup plan if the astronauts failed, made it and died or if the footage simply wouldn't work. We'd have the Kubrick footage ready to go in this case. Keep in mind, some people didn't even know what would happen if we landed on the moon. Some thought the moon might not even be stable and the lander would sink when it landed. I think they had a contingency plan in place. We had to or it would have been a huge cultural embarrassment.

7. Secret societies of any type that run the world.[/QUOTE]

Definitely secret societies exist. If you mean running the world, I do think a select few families and groups do have all of the power and control where the money goes. Run the world in the sense that they are the puppet masters and control public policy and the ways of the world, I doubt it. I think it's purely money driven.

Flat earth is by far the dumbest theory of any. Not even close because the evidence for a round earth can be seen every day.

Thanks man, interesting stuff. I think conspiracies happen a little more often than people seem to think. Most people think that we can't keep a secret long enough to make most conspiracies a reality but I don't agree with that. All the confidential information that never gets leaked. All the people that flew into Area 51 every day that never talked. People will keep their mouths shut if they have the fear of god put into them.

What do you think about the military initial saying that they found a flying saucer at Roswell? The story was changed a day later. Also people at the crash site reported a strange foil type substance that you could crush and would pop back into it's original form.

I don't know what happened with 9/11 but it wouldn't surprise me in the least if Cheney and Bush or at least Cheney knew about it and let it all happen so they could turn it into a cash cow for their ventures.

I used to believe the moon landing was possibly a hoax but there's this site out there that I can't seem to find right now but it looks like it was made in like 1997. It goes over every picture detail by detail and explains away every reason people have come up with for the moon being fake. I was almost disappointed when I read through the site because I was like yeah there's no way they faked it now.

Maybe if society collapses and we revert to some primitive existence then the majority of people might believe in a flat earth again.

When was the first time the majority if people believed in flat earth?

The problem with conspiracy theories being true is that people can't keep secrets.

The majority? I'm guessing that might not be quite so long ago given the relatively low levels of education but those having access to the degree of knowledge anyone posting here does maybe some time as ancient greek view of the earth as spherical spread?

The whole flat earth idea really does not take into account how fundamental a spherical earth is for a vast amount of what we know, the idea it was only "proven" by NASA to me just seems fantasy.

In reality I suspect the flat earth movement really started out as a bit of a joke or a way for people to test there debating skills or highlight dishoenst debating skills.

I wouldn't flat out discount any theory.. life is full of conspiracy from the mundane day to day shit that people get embroded in.. to the downright insane shit..

If there's some shit where people can fuck over others to get a little more then it's going to be some sort of conspiracy or two.

If there's some bathsit conspiracy you can bet somewhere down the line there's some truth to be had somewhere in the story.

Doesn't the fact that conspiracy theories exist indicate that these secrets aren't being that well kept?

Don't a load of people involved/whistle blowers die mysteriously before/during/after these major events?

The truth is often controlled by allowing conspiracies to exist, so they can shrug them off as 'wacko conspiracies', as they know word in some form will get out.

A few people telling the 'truth', or indeed, THE TRUTH, isn't going to blow a conspiracy conspired and controlled by a huge and powerful entity.

Christianity is probably the single most insane conspiracy theory I've ever heard, but a lot of people believe in it while managing to be perfectly intelligent in other areas. I think we just have a natural talent for being conspiracy theorists and an ability to separate our crazy beliefs from our normal ones.

People pushing Sandy Hook should be punched in the fucking face though.

The biggest problem is when people vote politos based on hyper retarded conspiracy theories and damage democracy in the process.

the ground is flat tho

The ground is a fractal geometry, when viewed by any available technology, satellite, balloon, magnifying glass, atomic force microscopy, or even STEM.

With Roswell, the initial report was that a flying disk was found and is in the possession of the Army. Flying disk at the time didn't really mean alien. There were reports of fast flying objects in the skies weeks before and no one knew what they were. The fear is not that it was aliens but new Soviet technology.

What most people don't know, the rancher and Major that collected the debris said it was a mixture of balsa wood, string, tape, foil-like material and radar targets. Right there tells you that it wasn't alien.

The government then announced that it was a new type of weather balloon. This was both the truth and a cover story. No one at the time even questoned it as another thing. Roswell didn't become about aliens until about 30 years later when seeds were planted that it was an alien crash.

What was actually found was Project Mogul. It was a highly classified project to use a new type of weather balloon to test for nuclear radiation in the atmosphere to see if the Soviet's were testing nukes. The balloon flew off course and they didn't know where it landed. The rancher found the debris and went to a local radio station with the story in hopes of claiming a prize they had going for a flying disk.

Mogul matches the exact description of the debris found. Balsa wood, string, tape, radar targets and a weird type of foil. One report metioned strange symbols on the wood and it turns out, the company that built the balloon used Scotch tape with purple floral patterns.

Instead of tin foil type material used for most targets that would crumple and stay that way, the Mogul foil used a new type of material that is like a parachute. You can crumple it but it will go back to its original shape.

I'd love for Roswell to be real but if you look at the facts and evidence, it overwhelmingly points to Project Mogul.

This sounds like a hardcore conspiracy.

I said this in another thread. When I was like 10, I wanted to believe in Loch Ness, Big Foot, aliens, and even the JFK conspiracy I heard of at that point.

Then I got older and learned how to critically think and by about 17, I knew it was all BS.

Conspiracy nuts haven't grown up or don't know how to critically think.

I mean, people were called CT nutters for the concern that Facebook(or any corporation) would sell/use private data for nefarious purposes and look what happened.

You had to be an idiot to think any information you have out there won't be used to try to sell you something. I don't know about nefarious purposes. People have stolen mail and used telephone records for many years.

The craziness of some conspiracy theories is beyond belief.

It has extended to reality television. The Science Channel has programs like Strange Evidence, NASA's Unexplained Files, What on Earth, Mysteries of the Abandoned and others that look at different things and the first explanation they come up with is the craziest.

One satellite photo was of this deck on a small lake.

Somebody thought someone had been murdered on this deck and there was blood on the deck. They actually called the police to investigate. The people had a dog that likes to swim in the lake. He jumps off the deck but has to come to the shore to get out of the water. Then he goes to lay on the deck for a while, creating the wet spot before jumping back in. The dog is in the picture.

I hate those stupid programs like "what on earth" it has the potential to be a really interesting show but it is so dumb because they explore all the idiotic explanations first before getting to the point even exploring the posibility of the super natural it is just not appealing at all.

Its like they brought clickbait videos from the internet to television.

Fair enough. Pretty much every civilization ever believes in some sort of religion. Even modern tripes with no contact to the outside world.

Its kind of crazy to completely write it off too

It sounds like what you're saying is that ignorant people across the planet will instinctively turn to supernatural explanations and it's only once critical thinking and the scientific method is taught that people will stop believing.

They never started out as retarded, imo. It was a slippery slope of gratification from other lunatics until they are saying things that are indistinguishable from people with real mental illnesses (i.e. schizophrenics).

They do real damage to society, though. In both subtle and glaring ways.

And I say this as a voracious reader of conspiracy theories. The problem is when you stop approaching these ideas with a critical mind and a firm understanding of evidence and science.
