Movies Arachnophobia 1990 movie...

I hate spiders but I love this movie. Really freaks me out more than traditional horror movies. I'd love for them to remake it.

Should've won an Oscar.

Whenever I kill a spider I strut off and say out load “that’s right, I’m bad”.

Yeah good call.

Army of Darkness is a cult classic. I don't think it had that strong box office appeal in its day like those others did.

I think the New Batch is a great example. And it amped up the comedy/satire element more so than the first one. To me, the first is the better film though. I thought it had the perfect tone for what it was trying to accomplish.

There's a movie with Adam Scott and Toni Collette from a few years back called Krampus that supposedly goes for that same type of vibe. Haven't seen it but I'd wager it's worth a watch for anyone looking for that style of film.

Krampus is awesome!!

This screenshot made me shudder. I have arachnophobia but do like the movie a lot.

That was a movie I watched when I was 5 or 6 and scared the shit out of me. A little campy(John Goodman’s character, the cop everyone treats like shit) as an adult but still a pretty good movie overall. I usually watch it if I see that it’s on. Still the best movie about killer spiders by a significant margin.

I also hate(scared shitless of) spiders.

It's always been one of my favorites. Very well made movie that has aged well. I hadn't seen it in so long I tracked down a cheap used DVD copy online this past October because I never seen it on Netflix or Prime. Really enjoyed going back to it. The story is pretty good, the way they accidentally bring back this super jungle killer tarantula to small town america and it annihilates the towns entire eco-system within a few weeks.

Who doesn't love John Goodman?

Also Julian Sands the Warlock I got a kick out of him being in it.

Love the small town feel they pulled off and it's a great example of just how thoroughly better movies were made back in the day when EVERY single minor character just feels so authentic and alive, the couple that watches Wheel Of Fortune, the old lady that gives the Doc his first business in town, the old doctor that changes his mind about retiring, it's like all these minor characters add to the small town feel they got right.

The final fight with the spider in the basement was pretty suspenseful. It's funny to me how far movies have fallen in the HD age, this was like a C-level movie back when it came out but just look how much more thoroughly better made it was than even the best movies of today.

That sounds like one of the worst experiences possible in life.
I watched pulp fiction tripping really hard on acid and yeah watching people get shot and overdosing was not a good time lol.
