I've with TS and have been the whole time.

ANYTHING is possible, but a lot of the case against Askren has been how goofy he looks, and getting baptized by Mas with a knee (not relevant to boxing) and getting subbed by one of the best grapplers in the world (not relevant to boxing).

People have misjudged Askren for years based on the goofy way he looks. Same thing as years in wrestling. He has insane strength, he is insanely competitive, and I think he's got 1000x more heart than a Youtube guy.

Askren needs to use clinch cleverly.
If he ties Jake for 3 rounds he'll tire him out and will do what he wants in rd 4-8.
His clinch conditioning is on another level, than youtube youngster's.

Good point and its a possibility, but I think just boxing and throwing repeatedly could tire Askren out if he is not used to doing it.. he's wrestled for years and years but boxing is different.

Being a wrestler doesn't make you a good boxer. Training boxing makes you a good boxer. This will literally be the first time Ben Askren has trained boxing - assuming he actually does - and the YouTube guy has been training for a while.

It's not hard to see Askren losing this.

Doesnt change the fact in every camp hes been in ...hes done some form of striking ...which would equate to a decades worth of striking training...yes not super refined striking training but hes still put in hours ...

Askren has 0 chance of winning this fight. He is going to be KOed badly. He will not land a single significant strike. He can't learn to box in 12 weeks. Askren is retired out of shape and coming off a hip surgery. He also doesnt know how to throw a punch and couldn't learn in a decade of MMA training. Meanwhile Jake Paul has been sparring boxing with pros twice a day for the last year and doing roadwork. Jake Paul is younger, stronger, faster with more skills he also can klnock a man out with one punch not an easy thing to do regarldess of the opponent. Ben couldnt knock someone out with a punch if his life depended on it. Being a hodge trophy recipient and a wordclass wrestler and MMA champion who only uses wrestling in no way giove you any kind of advantage in boxing. Chael Sonnen and Ben Askren couldn't sound more delusional and be more wrong about this fight. Askren has no chance he will be beaten badly he wont last 3 rounds. Honestly, YEARS of mma training and this is what Ben does in striking? Theres probably people in my local boxing gym that could knock him out in a boxing match.

Its a singular gif...and preparing for MMA is different then preparing for boxing..especially when your a grappling specialist...as you would naturally build your MMA game around your best skill...

But to think Ben cant strike at all or is the somehow worse then Nate robinson...is strange

In boxing you're taught to block punches with the much bigger gloves. Its a core piller of boxing defense with footwork and head movement, Ben has never trained this in MMA as blocking with your gloves is a terrible idea.

This is 100% true....that will be the challenges for his coaching staff for sure
