Yeah, I am not confident at all that Ben will win. Jake Paul has shown power and some boxing skills. He's young and a legit athlete whether we like him or not, should admit. We can argue that Jake Paul doesn't have the skills of a run-of-the-mill professional boxer if we want, but neither does Ben.

Ben on the other hand is known as a poor striker, coming out of retirement and past his prime (although relatively young for a retired fighter at 36). Ben of course has more sparring experience than Jake Paul and more professional fighting experience, so we'll see.

Ben was cherry picked for this fight because he has name recognition, can be introduced as a former champ/ufc vet and he has the worst hands in mma.
Somewhere some slimy promotor is rubbing his hands together while thinking off how much money he can make hyping up this paul dude before eventually leading him to a legit match like a lamb to the slaughter.

Say what you want about that Paul guy, but he had actual boxing fights. And boxing is way the weakest part of Askren's MMA game. What are the odds though, I'm really curious. I think Paul should be a slight favorite.

Good point and its a possibility, but I think just boxing and throwing repeatedly could tire Askren out if he is not used to doing it.. he's wrestled for years and years but boxing is different.

Of course it is, but the level of athleticism of Olympic wrestler and some pumped up show off boxer

If you think Jake Paul is an Alpha, you must really throw that word around for just anyone. Beating up a talentless NBA player turned boxer isn't considered an Alpha move. Askren would literally take his life if he so chose in a real fight, but boxing is not real fighting.

I think everyone is forgetting the fact... Askren use to train for MMA and for MMA he has to use his wrestling ... Its his greatest weapon and hes allowed to use...

Without having to worry about flying knees and other variables in MMA , a boxing match is considerably simpler...not easier but less complex..


Aksren whos a championship level MMA fighter and championship level wreslter understands what its like to prepare for professional fighters...he will take this dedication into his boxing only training and his stand up will dramatically change as he doesnt have to train for everything else MMA intales... He will have a whole camp dedicated to punching likely with Olympic level coaches...anyone who doesnt think he will be good enough to beat some guy whos slightly above the level of Nate Robinson a NBA player FFS ...is well...dumb

Don't be silly. Askren is a fantastic fighter who had a spotty UFC stint near the end of his career. He has relatively bad standup next to other pro MMA fighters
