Anyone unemployed ?

Thanks man.

Summers off, prime to time scoop up the recently legal former students :icon_twis

On a serious note I've found History teachers to always be down to earth awesome people, so why not carry on the traddition? , I figure.

And you're right a good teacher can really make all the difference for a student.

Also, the politics in teaching can be a bitch as well, dealing with school boards and all that. You can make a living teaching, you have any particular grade in mind? No history teachers in my family though. But History teachers are cool.

Hmm if was actually gonna be a creeper 12th grade, but I think maybe 9th grade

history and 10th grade history try and make a difference in some kids lives :P

So is your family mainly English teachers?

I started my career with a good company last April, so I'm pretty happy about that. Hadn't really been unemployed before that but I can say if you don't have much going for you, security companies are always hiring and will most likely pay above minimum wage.

i went through a rough stretch of unemployment not too long ago. From nov 2008 through about april 2009 i was on disability(legit injury and surgery). I then moved back in with my parents and was unemployed for about 1 1/2 years collecting unemployment except for 3 months i worked a seasonal job at costco. So basically i worked 3 months in a 2 year span. I did look for work and nothing was hiring. It was hard to push myself though becasue i was getting 1500$ a month in government money. I did have ambition though to improve myself and went to school and landed a nice career in my field 2 years ago.

Thanks man.

All of my history teachers have been like this, especially when I took an ancient history elective at Uni, the guy was awesome and always let us off a few minutes early.

what do you sell? just find random items for cheap and sell for more on the websites?

I use to do that, until I found a really good supplier. I sell generic clothing for kids, I did well enough last year to start my own brand. I'm still using the same supplier and generic clothing, but just with my brand and logo.

Wait, what book?:D

rich-dad-poor-dad_review.jpg

The book has some controversy because it tells you not to save money and it also mentions your house as a liability not an asset.

Not all but a few.

Dad: 7th Grade Science
Uncle: 5th Grade and PE
Aunt: High School Drama
Aunt: Honestly don't recall
Brother: 7 / 8th grade English
Sister In Law: 7 / 8th grade Special Ed (Same school as my brother her husband)
Grandma: High School English
Grandpa: Middle School Spanish and something else I cant recall along with PE and Coaching.

Coaching is another thing. Its a good way to make some extra money and a good way to reach kids. My Dad has been coaching middle school sports (and High School Tennis for a bit) for a long time. He has always enjoyed it and it brought in some extra cash. He only does Boys and Girls Basketball and Track and Field now.

You got to hustle! After I lost my job I started buying puppies off of classified ads then I would resell them on the same site for a higher price. I was able to use photoshop and make the puppy look cuter, in return they would appear to be worth more. Depending on how cute the puppy was I was able to make $200-600 per puppy.

If you are looking to get started I highly suggest you check out this site: http://www.liquidation.com

Ive been unemployed for a year. I stopped drinking a few weeks back and my whole life has changed. I was offered 2 jobs today after not receiving 1 offer for an entire year. My only struggle now is deciding which one to take. 1 job I will start off making more and I will be in management but I have almost nowhere to go beyond that in that restaurant. The other job I will be starting at a lower level and lower pay but I will be back into Fine Dining with seasonal menus and an Organic farm on the premises. Both will build my resume is different ways.

I was for about 17months and loved it making $389 a week for doing nothing was cool as hell. Ya it was a bit less then I was making working, but I saved and still had that income so I was never worried. I never once looked for a job because I got comfortable I still was able to pay rent and all my necessity's plus have play money. I filed for food stamps and got $248 a month so i didnt have to worry about food. I tend to hate leaches but I said fuck it, Im probably never going to get Social Security once I retire so I might as well milk this piece of shit government for all I can while Im young.

BALLIN!!!!!!!

well if you're going to take advantage of the system you might as well go all out.

Count me in I think, I will be a bum for life. unemployed since Sept.2011. I got rejected by companies twice already. Last week I found out that I failed the Qualification test to work for the government they said even though I am smart and knows stuff my handwriting is a big problem.

It is really depressing and at times can really hit your self esteem and lose self respect
There are some companies that have idiots as member of the HR and the recruitment team, they would openly insult people specially if they found out that you are a undergraduate.

Word of advice specially for those are in college right now do everything you can to stay in School. Its worth it.

On theory i'm an illustrator

On reality i'm doing three works at the same time(illustrator, bring down stuff from trucks, and one from home with PC), and still is basically like be unemployed
The three combined make decent month $ amount(basically a lil bit more than the average full time job), but none is solid and and aside survive and pay shit are useless... tomorrow i can lose one,two or all of them

Banks want a endless contract full time job to support projects

Most of my friends are in the same situation, unemployed or employed with zero stability
Shitty situation in italy, the worse part is that if in 5 years they will do something to "help youngs", we will be no more considered that, lol

Me and my GF are seriously considering to try move outside

ME.

I became unemployed in September. Fortunately, I have a good savings and my family owns a successful business. So I'm using this time to lay back, relax, and enjoy the checks every weeks from UI.
