Anyone here on TRT?

Got tested and I was at around 500 but my free T was at very low end of normal.

What kind of numbers did u have to get T prescribed?

what is Free T?

Its been years since I had my hormone levels tested and I have a shit memory but last time I had them tested was when I was 28 and it was like 700 ng or dl or something I didn't bother asking further because the doctor said I was all good, I did it for my propecia prescription

I've Googled it but can't do it justice...it's basically the amount of test that roams free in your system that's not already busy doing shit.

Total T is the total amount of testosterone in your body about 97% of it is unused.

Free T is the 3% or so that your body actually uses.

Free T fluctuates throughout the day, it is higher in the morning and lower at the end of day. also higher when participating certain activities: mid workout and lower post-workout

I was just reading through this thread.

I've had a host of issues most of my adult life that have progressively gotten worse despite living a healthy lifestyle and trying to actively improve things. But in the last 2 years they got worse, the more I worked out the weaker I got, always felt super tired/brain foggy, my sex drive died to the point I didn't even get morning wood anymore. I got my testosterone checked last year and it was 335, which is lowish but normal (Normal 160-726ng/dL). But then I suddenly started losing what little muscle I had so I asked for it to get check again and they did my free T and it was 2.9 which is very low. (normal 5.1 - 41.5 pg/mL) Took the test in the morning in a fasted state.

So they put me on TRT, just had my first injection of 50mg, but it says to do it once a month, where everything else I see is 100+ once a week. Is it normal to start at a lower dosage then move up?

Thanks for the insight. I'm about to be 41. My girlfriend is 23. Very good chance I'll marry her. Right now I feel great, in every sense. And she's always good to go. Hah. But I figure that around 50, if i start to feel some slowdown, I might get on TRT. Which will be around the time she's at the age where she wants it more than ever. So the timing will work out well. Haha.

The thing I'm concerned about most though is hair loss. I like my hair. Hah. Have you noticed any hair loss, or thinning, you can attribute to TRT? What about any changes like reddish skin color, jaw shape change, etc?
Fucking lol at you marrying a 23 year old hahha

I cycle SARMs once in a while. Its not as potent as TRT but it works

I am not on trt but I know everything about anabolics. If you’re doing trt with cyptionate or enanthate, 2 shots a week is optimal. Most test e and test cyp come in 250mgs per ml, cyp often comes in 200mgs per ml as well. So if you were to do 100mgs per week, you would do a quarter ml shot twice a week.

You CANNOT just do one shot per month. With long esters, 2 shots a week is what you should be doing however you could get away with 1 shot a week if it’s strictly for TRT. With stuff like test propionate which is fast acting, you’d need to be doing a shot every other day

So if you’re going to do 100mgs per week, if you’re okay with pinning yourself twice a week, that would be best. If not, once a week is fine. If you’re injecting in the glute (upper corner of ass cheek) you should be using a 1 and a half inch 25 gauge needle.

I want to but doesn't it make you bald? I'm taking pills to not lose my already receding hair line so may be a bit counter productive. I was thinking of HGH in small dosages, would that be better?

I haven't experienced any side-effects at all other a slightly higher PSA count after the first few cycles so they had me go for a prostate biopsy just to be on the safe side & it came back negative. Since then, everything's returned to normal & things are great.
So, no rashes & no change in the shape of my jaw or anything else for that matter. As for hair loss though, just look at me:

I had a full head of hair a year ago.

LOL. Just joking, I've kept it shaved since my 30s. And, when I shave it my hairline is no different than it was two years ago when I began TRT. So, you should be fine when/if you decide to try TRT in a few years.
Good luck.

I have very high testosterone my whole life. Im 35 now, and have levels of someone in their early 20's. I started balding at around 22-23 years old.

yeah the peaks and valleys of this outdated protocol will leave anyone feeling like shit
Lovely. I thought something felt off. Hope I can get them to adjust it. Thanks for the response, always nice to talk to real people instead of just googling it (which the results did say the same thing).

I had high natty levels but went on TRT anyway because fk it I had all the symptoms and if I were to wait until I'm in the so called "normal" range...I'd have to wait until I'm 70 judging by my high natty levels.

I've been on it through an HRT clinic in Bangkok for the past 5 months. But I found a couple pharmacies selling the testosterone OTC for 5% the price. Total cost of everything including needles and syringes is now $20 a month compared to the $400 I was paying before.

Since I had healthy T levels already - the benefits have been subtle but noticieable:

-extremely high alcohol tolerance - this is a negative. I don't like having high tolerance.
-less of a hangover after a night out
-libido slightly up
-I need to eat more. I kind of struggle to keep my weight up. I eat just junk food and I still stay slim.

I'm not doing any exercise these days. Maybe I'll start. But I don't wanna look like a bodybuilder.

It didn't help because of E2 level side effects for the first few months.

I haven't suffered any of the side effects like receding hairline, bacne, excessive red blood cell count resulting in redface, or bloating. I guess I'm one of the lucky ones.

My protocol is:

-testosterone enthanate 2X per week divided into two 62.5 mg injections...total 125 mg per week
-Inject via subcutaneaous needle (short needle) into the belly fat.

Very simple protocol.

I dropped the HCG and estrogen blocker. I don't wanna deal w/ that shit, makes it harder to control estradiol levels.

So far it has been rocky in the beginning (first few months) but the past two months I have noticed the benefits manifesting.

At the 6 or 7 month mark supposedly I start to see the more longterm benefits; - increased bone density, elevated mood, "harder" or more firm muscles, etc.

I've been an athlete (surfing, BJJ, swimming, running, lil boxing) ever since high school but never abused steroids. I considered TRT for the past 3 years after following Chael Sonnen, Matt Serra, and Joe Rogan talking about it. Joe Rogan's side effects are probably mostly from abusing all kinds of supplements in the past, not just testosterone. The guy did hgh for years in the past and probably abused steroids during his kickboxing days.

Everything’s good; my sister is a doctor and checks me out. She doesn’t know about it. Blood pressure is the only thing I’ve had issues with.
I make my own gear, been doing it for about 15 years.
So basically, you're gonna die. LOL.

Wow. You're taking injections twice a week?
I've never heard of that. My dosage is 150 mg every two weeks. Of course, I get mine through my urologist who has to go by FDA guidelines.
I'm not experiencing any adverse side effects either. In fact, making the decision to go on TRT was one of the best decisions that I've ever made. My psa levels were a wee bit raised but they ran some tests & my prostate is just fine. No issues whatsoever.
