Anyone here on TRT?

Wow. You're taking injections twice a week?
I've never heard of that. My dosage is 150 mg every two weeks. Of course, I get mine through my urologist who has to go by FDA guidelines.
I'm not experiencing any adverse side effects either. In fact, making the decision to go on TRT was one of the best decisions that I've ever made. My psa levels were a wee bit raised but they ran some tests & my prostate is just fine. No issues whatsoever.

That's not FDA guidelines. I do 125mg once per week, which is the normal dose to create an average testosterone profile.

Dude above who is doing 50 mg/month needs to see another doctor too. That's way too low and too infrequent.

Well, my dosage has my levels where they should be so I'm happy.
Maybe I'll inquire about an increase when I change doctors later on this summer when I move to Arizona.

I'm on the normal dose, per the guidelines. There may be a medical reason for you to be on that frequency, but the biweekly injections have peaks and valleys that I don't like and your dosage over a 2 week window seems low.

If you're not afraid to do it, and you've been on awhile, you can ask to inject yourself at home on a recommended schedule. I do my upper thigh every Friday, alternating each thigh weekly.

Oh, I do get injected at home by my fiance ( she's a qualified medical professional ). She does it in the muscle of my backside.
Yeah, I'm going to see what's up with my dosage as soon as I find a new urologist in Arizona.

Nah, the injection themselves just stings a little bit & then my asscheek is a little sore for a day or so afterward. It's no big deal. But, then, needles don't bother me at all.

Yeah I asked him about that and he kept assuring me it was normal, saying their are different types and that cypionate is slow release. I feel like shit. It's painful when googling something can provide you with better information than a doctor.

So far after three shots (every ten weeks), I can say there has been positive effects.

My lifts are still strong, but the associated pain and recovery after lifting have lessened greatly. On my last blood test, they said even with my shots my numbers were still on the low end. So my next visit in a couple weeks will be with the urologist instead of just the nurse, so we can discuss either increasing the dose or something else.

What I really need to do is get my god damn diet in order, and figuring out a way to give up powerlifting and get with a general physique program. Something in my brain won't let me "just lift". And it's that something in my brain that usually gets me hurt.

I did notice some more ball shrinkage. Doesn't really bother me though. Thankfully, zero acne issues. Might be because the numbers are still lower spectrum.

Will keep everyone posted.

Once every ten weeks? I thought you'd need a new shot at least every two weeks for the effects to remain

i'm 38, and i feel as good as i ever have. well, i certainly felt at my zenith at around the 32 year mark. but i still feel pretty damn good. as friendly advice for guys out there, keep yourself healthy! you'll regret it when life passes you by, and you decide to try looking good after you've destroyed your body.

I'm 41 and still look a lot younger than my classmates. I've been holding off because I'm afraid to get prostate cancer. @IIIIIIII

Would it be stupid to do low dose injections of 10-20mg every 2 days to avoid the peaks and valleys? Seems like a good solution or is it bad to inject so often? I know heroin junkies blow out their veins overtime from injecting too often but maybe that's different.

With TRT you don't inject into the vein you inject into the muscle. Either the thigh or the ass.

U really don’t need to go IM. Subcutaneous or subdermal works just as well.

It’s quite a bit easier than going IM every week. Only drawback is it takes a bit longer pushing thicker based test through a 25 to 27 gauge needle.
Subcutaneous is the best way to go in my experience.

on TRT myself. curious to see if there are any other fellow recipients on Sherdog as well.
As Ive gotten older the thought has crossed my mind I might need it someday.

But I’m still pretty high level as it is now. But it’s got to be coming soon I would think.
