Anyone here on TRT?

Did you read what I said? I decided against doing it myself, and I am living my life. Great response dick head
Good job snowflake. Don't fall prey to this bullshit again.

Look at the internet tough guy talking smack to strangers in a thread about TRT. Why are you even in here reading this?

Curious as to why is it so hard to get? Especially if it is administered by a doctor. I am over 40. I got money. I am not a professional athlete. Whats the problem. Am I missing something?

Well a doctor wouldn't prescribe someone TRT unless they had some kind of imbalance ( isn't that how it works? )

then you'd have a hard time convincing your insurance company to pay for the treatment if it isn't necessary.

But if you have the $, and doctor shop until you get what you want - you can probably get it

Your sister checks your prostate?

T supplementation has no effect on prostate. I have that from 2 prostate cancer specialists my father spoke to a month ago. Apparently that's old news and was based on a study with low participants.

I heard it destroys your balls completely, shrinks them to the size of a raisin . Also accelerates the process of balding aka destroys your hairline
It can shink your balls. Drs give hcg to prevent this
As for hairline, only speeds up your genetics. I have a full head of hair like all the men in my family

I am almost 31 and have had what I would consider low T (for my age) since my mid 20s - usually around 16nmol/l (461ng/dl) but it's tested as low as 11nmol/l previously (317ng/dl). The problem is my SHBG is sky high for my age, around the 40s and it once came back almost 60 so my free T is pathetic. Doctors in the UK won't prescribe TRT unless you come back with a <10nmol/l result consistently and don't take free test or having every symptom in the book into account.

I have considered doing it the manual way myself as it's not particularly expensive, however it is a big commitment at my age with no doctor support. Would be interested to hear other people's levels for comparison though as I am sure I will end up on it one day.
I had the same issue as you; my shbg was 78. Free t was 7 ng/dl. The natural range is 9-80.

My e2 was low too at 10pg/ml.

Testosterone changed all
Of this. Lowered shbg. Raised free t. Let me guess, your total t is high/normal to compensaite for the low free t and high shbg?

What to keep that young woman satisfied? Make sure you've got enough saved to retire on AND give her the adventurous years of her late 20s and early 30s.

Because of the age difference and the dumb choices people make, I'd say you need to saved an additional 20-30% on top of what you'd need to retire to pad against any stupid choices she is going to make over the next 10 years. Choices she will leave YOU for once you're broke. No amount of TRT will prevent that.

Does she want to go back to school? Does she understand she can't new living room furniture every 3 years? Will she want your help buying her next car? Is she in a career field that provides a pension or 401K? Does she have good credit? (Please tell me you're going to run her credit before you even think about marrying her.)

This is the real problem with TRT. Men aren't men anymore. Thinking some dangerous drug thinking its going to solve the same problems that will waiting for you afterwards. smh.
Irritability is a sign of low T

I've been wanting to try it but a few things stop me.

1. My doctor won't give it to me. She made me get tested and I came out on the low side of normal. I guess they don't give it to you unless you're clearly abnormally low.
2. Which means I'd be stuck buying on the black market which makes me nervous
3. I really don't like the fact that once you're on it you have to stay on it for life, because your body will stop producing it's own test. So this really is an irreversible decision.
4. I feel like it's really only become widespread to average Joe's in the last 6-7 years. Not long enough to really have good data on the long term health effects.

I haven't experienced any side-effects at all other a slightly higher PSA count after the first few cycles so they had me go for a prostate biopsy just to be on the safe side & it came back negative. Since then, everything's returned to normal & things are great.
So, no rashes & no change in the shape of my jaw or anything else for that matter. As for hair loss though, just look at me:

I had a full head of hair a year ago.

LOL. Just joking, I've kept it shaved since my 30s. And, when I shave it my hairline is no different than it was two years ago when I began TRT. So, you should be fine when/if you decide to try TRT in a few years.
Good luck.

Awesome, thank you. Appreciate the detailed reply.

The having full head of hair then showing the bald picture cracked me up, haha. Good stuff.

No hair loss or redness. hair loss is genetic relally. if youre in your 40s and don't have hair loss I doubt you would post-TRT. my facial features are sharper for sure, but not some ridiculous jaw line. no redness either

Thank you good sir.

my insurance did not cover. I go through Defy Medical. and its pretty cheap about $200 for 3 months worth and I pay for bloodwork every 6 months, 3 months depending on if I want more
do they cover meds to counteract side effects? ie, aromatase and blood pressure. What about HCG?

Not sure if you're trolling, hah, but I'll reply.

Me thinking about TRT isn't about keeping her satisfied. It's about my happiness (and of course wanting to have sex as much as possible, hah)

Not worried about the money. I'm good.

Not worried about her making stupid choices. She runs all important decisions by me first.

And not concerned about her leaving me if I'm broke. If I somehow went broke she would stay with me as long as I bust my ass to make money again. However, if I just sat there playing video games all day, doing nothing to fix the situation, then after a period of time I'm sure she would leave me - as she should. If I can't take care of her I'm not fulfilling my role as the man and leader in the relationship.

But let's pretend that in some magical wizard way she left me the moment the money was gone. Well, ok, that's too bad. But so? Then I just find a new, young, attractive girl. So no worries.

  • She's in school now, almost finished. She won't go back to school to earn another degree. She'll be a housewife, taking care of our home, children, and me.
  • She understands that if I say "No" to any of her requests, it's "No.". She doesn't sulk or get upset. She trusts in my decisions and knows that I keep her/our best interests at heart. If I say "No", she accepts it and moves on.
  • She won't be working (since she'll be a stay-at-home mom) so I will give her a small salary each month. If she wants a car she can use some of that money to pay the monthly payments. Aside from that, I'll happily give her the money for the initial down payment on the car.
  • No credit problems

The fact that you need to stay on the stuff because your body's natural production diminishes is a major reason I never considered trying juice. I'm happy to be among those who's never taken anything that can screw up my endocrine system. Healthy and natural for as long as possible is the plan.

Arnold and the rock have been on it their entire lives. no complaints and no problem. Yes, Arnold has heart issues, but due to a birth defect; something that he has struggled with since childhood.

at age 71 and been on test for nearly his whole adult life:

I har the sane issue as you my shbg was 78
Though. Free t was 7 mg/dl. The natural range is 9-80.

My e2 was low too at 10pg/ml.

Testosterone changed all
Of this. Lowered shbg. Raised free t. Let me guess, your total t is high/normal to compensaite for the low free t and high shbg?

My total T is lowish but considered normal when not taking age into account. LH and FSH low end of an acceptable range. SHBG high especially considering age

you on a Keto diet or intermittent fasting?

also any liver issues?

i'm 38, and i feel as good as i ever have. well, i certainly felt at my zenith at around the 32 year mark. but i still feel pretty damn good. as friendly advice for guys out there, keep yourself healthy! you'll regret it when life passes you by, and you decide to try looking good after you've destroyed your body.

how long have you been on a cruise? are you able to have kids still? also what do you do for E2 management?
15 years with a 1 year break about 4 years ago. Wife insisted I go off while we were trying to conceive; I don’t know if it was necessary. I didn’t do any pct because I didn’t have any, was a crappy year. I hopped back on as soon as she got pregnant.

Some guys sperm count goes down, some don’t.

I’ve never used blockers; I’m not prone to gyno and I’ve ran as much as 1200mg of test, 600 mg EQ, and 400 mg of Tren a week, and only got itchy nips after 3 months.
