Health Anyone had PRP therapy?

Yeah, motivation was never an issue with me so overtraining was a serious problem over the years. I was still training hard 4-5 days a week into my 40's but I have been forced to cut right back and act like a middle aged man (for once LOL)

I just went and saw a surgeon who looked at the MRI of my right shoulder and her first words were "Ooh wow... I bet that was fun" End result, she said there were a lot of surgeons that would give it a shot... but it probably wouldn't help and that she has more patients than she can see already and won't waste either of our time and money. Go do PRP instead... I appreciated that.

The guy in the video I linked seems to have the exact same symptoms that I have and three and a half weeks after treatment, he said he felt at least 85% better so that's super encouraging.
If you do it and it only lasts a few years you're better off than you were before so it's worth a go. The recovery period from major surgery being you train a lot is pretty debilitating.

So... both of my rotator cuffs aren't great. I have had a referral to a specialist for scans for potentially getting it.

For those not familiar: basically: "Platelet-rich plasma (PRP) therapy is a treatment that uses a concentration of platelets derived from your own blood to promote healing in injured tissues. It is commonly used for conditions like tendon injuries, arthritis, and hair loss, although its effectiveness can vary."

Just thought I'd ask if anyone has any experience with this?
- My uncle girlfriend did. She does every two years or so. She said the first year, the benefits lasted almost two years, after that, they last a couple of months.
Theres also TB500

I have not but I'll be watching this thread with great interest since my fucked up shoulder is really interfering with my ability to lift weights effectively.
- Did you watch Seth Froce travel to Chile to threat his shoulder? He did stem cells terapy.

Alright, I'm going to the blood bank and steal my own platelets that I donate

A couple of months? Well shit, guess it may be worth it to just suck it up and do it once every couple of months if it lets me go back to being active. I hate feeling slow, fat and out of shape, it sucks.

I'll probably use a sippy cup
Ahh come on, make it interesting:

= fun.

Yeah, that's what I was thinking too. Worst case scenario, I waste a few hours and some money... worth a shot.
- If the efect lasts a few months, it's already worth, isnt even very expensive here. Just be aware of not ending agraveting.

- Yes. She says only the first one lasted almost two years. Also she isnt a active person. Is sendetary and out of shape.

Never done it. I had dislocated my shoulder probably about 100 times. I finally got surgery. Them o got a cortisone shot, and it has been fine ever since.

I never needed TRT, or plasma, or to suck on the blood of a virgin, or any of that Rogan shit.
Yeah but have you ever tried elk meat?

Bit of a no brainer, you aren't shy of a few bob so it's worth a go. If it doesn't work then back to the drawing board. Good luck, matey.

Thanks. I'll keep people updated on how it goes... quietly optimistic.
With both of my hip surgeries it didn't really matter if I was out of service for a few weeks but you're in a different situation so if there's a way of bypassing it it's a win.

Changing your diet and getting good sleeps with do some wild shit for your recovery.

Is that like Regenokine? Joe Rogan had Regenokine done and said he had good results for neck and back issues he had.
Rogan claims a lot of things work, stem cells, peptides, this stuff apparently yet he's also always talking about how fucked up he is, and can't do a lot of training like he used to anymore
