That one solid left that Romero landed made Izzy tentative for rest of the fight. I think Izzy realized right then and there that he couldn't straight up fight Romero at all, he had to stay back and pick his shots safely and wisely.

Anyone feels Matt Serra can KO GSP? Yeah i don't think this would ever happen.

Adesanya made it through Whittaker, Romero, Perreira, Costa, etc. He's clearly ahead in accomplishment and has shown supperior skills.

Sean Strickland punches faces for a living too. If Adesanya under-estimate him too much there can always be a Bisping-Rockhold moment.

However I think Adesanya is still serious about being on top of the game, will study Strickland timing and flaws and catch him. I got Adesanya by (T)KO but I won't be in utter disbelief if Strickland finds a way
 
Easiest fight for Izzy since Brunson. Sean bout to get styled on big time.

people think izzy is alex, he's not.
he likes to have sparring matches unless you rush forward presentin' yourself to get ko'ed.
i see this going similar to izzy vs cannonier, but sean close quarters boxing style with low guard may entice izzy to strike first, which would favor sean
if i had to bet, izzy by UD(49-46)
 
The head and ALL reasoning says Izzy, but it sure would be cool to see Sean pull off that impossible Serra trick and get a KO victory for the title.
 
I absolutely give him a chance.

Strickland has a lot of things going for him in this fight. He's got good boxing, cardio, pressure, chin, grappling, and he's got heart.

Izzy is a phenomenal kick boxer, but his actual boxing does have holes and a volume puncher like Strickland could pose some problems if he can get inside and make this a dirty fight. Especially if he can get Izzy's attention with his hands and land some takedowns and push him against the fence. I think he can win for sure.

Would I bet on him? No, not at current odds. If he gets up to like +500 or more then yeah
 
No one gave O'Malley a chance either. Probably even less so
 
He has no shot. Miocic has a better chance of beating Jones

The only way I see Strickland winning is if Izzy some how lost motivation after finally beating Alex, and/or takes him way too lightly. It's Izzy's fight to lose.

It's bloody apparent that outside a lucky punch or fluke, Izzy gets pieced up and ktfo.

Alex is going to KO Jiri and call out Izzy at lhw. Nowhere to go and playing paddy cake with journeyman and jobbers is not a good look but preferable to fighting the killer again.

It reminds me of AJ ducking Wilder and can crushing over 7rds with a guy who couldn't last 2 min with Wilder. IZZY at least fought him multiple times. AJ is selling out arenas for 30mill to can crush and play paddy cake.
