I believe he was at very high level when he started getting injured nonstop and probably at GOAT level fighting skills. The night he ran thru RDA I knew for a fact that he was the best Lightweight we have seen for years and probably a GOAT potential and the only other time I felt that was when Jon Jones came out of nowhere and smoked Stephan Bonnar in a flashy performance

I used to really feel bad for my favorite athletes when they lost...I would lose sleep over it when I was younger...once you get to a certain age you can care less.

I would have felt bad, but I question his training at AKA. I bet there are some numbers on training injuries by camp, but with limited data and a confirmation bias, seems a lot of guys get hurt there.
