So stupid. Why isn't a real referee involved in that match.
 
Definitely high and to the left but any man who's worn a cup sparring hard or fighting knows that all it takes is a good violent jostle of the cup to get right in there.
 
According to Royce, it was okay because the Gracies fight with no rules or some bullshit, so can we change this to a win for Frank then?

BJM was in the Kimbo/Dada fight because they thought it might have gotten out of control. If they'd known they both only had gas for 30 seconds they probably would have stuck Winslow in there.
 
Why didn't Ken React at all? Not until he lost the fight. Am I really supposed to believe the nut shot did it? We see fighters get hit all the time, they keep going if they are in danger, or they look to the ref if the ref didn't see it. I don't know if I've ever seen a fighter use this as an excuse like Ken is using it.
 
IDK it looked close but was high and to side.

You're allowed to call "STOP" when something illegal happens, why didn't he do that ?
 
Appreciate that gif, thanks. There was a better replay angle where they showed it close up, and you could really see it better. Hopefully someone made a gif of that one too.

what happened was the nutshot led to ken being in a shitty position, then when he got dragged down he was gonna use that as a reason to get the fight back standing. u could hear him yelling at the ref to get gracie off right before the fight was called.

Yeah I rewatched it...he had quite a few opportunites to shout "FOUL" or "STOP" or whatever. Gracie was holding him for a bit before taking him down and he could have said something then.

I think it may have been close and maybe hurt him a bit but not enough for it to matter so he let it go thinking he'd win, then later he decided it was why he lost.

Well that's taking advantage, if he felt it in nuts should have called it right away.

I get that's the argument but I'm not buying it. No other fighter acts that way. Every time they get hit they react roght away or they keep their guard up to a safe position. Not saying it was a clean fight but he lost. He looked horrible, and he he got dropped by Royce. He should accept it.
 
Pathetic event, I was embarrassed watching it, I will never waste time on a ken shamrock or a kimbo fight ever again.
 
i feel bad for ken...this is embarrassing, and you know royce is smiling somewhere right now. still, ken should be realistic

Ken did react right away. He tried to bring his left hand to his balls but Royce was holding him by the wrist. And what is there not to 'buy'? There is a gif in this thread of him being kneed in the balls.
 
I don't buy that it's the reason he lost. He lost because he's not athletic. Has an extreme glass chin. No mobility. And was outclassed by someone who aged better. The nut shot is an excuse. And I say this as someone who was a huge fan of shamrock and rooted for him against nearly everyone.

ken did fuck up though. maybe the knee to the head rocked him idk, but he totally could have defended himself on the ground. I think he was banking too much on the ref stopping the fight and calling the foul and standing back up. Ken should have defended and then bitched at the ref after. He was fine as he was totally chewing out the ref while he was being hit......
