The fight was exactly how I expected it to go. Masvidal is not the same as he once was and was never going to win. The hype is over. I wanted him to win so bad but knew he would not.

Masvidal got the title shot he was absolutely begging for.

He didn't earn it, but was given it for taking a short notice fight. Guys like Leon Edwards deserved that title shot, not Jorge.

Either way, he lost to the best guy in the world, then was granted a fight against another top ranked opponent who isn't in title contention. What else was he supposed to do, ask for an unranked fight?

Very sad situation. He sacrificed himself taking his worst matchups back to back to back only because they were the biggest paychecks (PPV buys, generational wealth) enduring 11 rounds of demoralizing leg-diving and a brutal KO loss. He basically sold his soul for his family and future generations of Masvidals.

It will be tough to live down getting ragdolled by someone who said the things his former best bud said, giving it all you got, and not being able to do anything about it.

Sold his soul for his familys net worth and for a secured future for generations to come???

As a fan I want to see him get a win in his next one or before he finishes his career. He's definitely got a few options for his next fight.

I loved how he handled the second Usman defeat in the interviews, he never shies away from the public eye after a loss and always faces the music.

Honestly. I would cry if it looked like he took his diet and training more seriously. He knew this was coming and he just didn't have the cardio to even try to close the show when he could.

It sounds harsh to say that but when you expect when you hear about the dude eating McD's.
