Very sad situation. He sacrificed himself taking his worst matchups back to back to back only because they were the biggest paychecks (PPV buys, generational wealth) enduring 11 rounds of demoralizing leg-diving and a brutal KO loss. He basically sold his soul for his family and future generations of Masvidals.
It will be tough to live down getting ragdolled by someone who said the things his former best bud said, giving it all you got, and not being able to do anything about it.
