Still playing this game and I've logged in an embarrassing amount of hours thanks to the holiday break.
Did the expedition and resetted my toon. Now that I know where most things are and have several sets of looting routes getting to level 75 and upgrading all my workshops was very quick. I transferred a bunch of top tier weapons and blueprints to my 2 buddies before the reset and then get some of it back (the blueprints mostly). My friends don't play this much so I use them as extra storage anyway. This season is very generous with blueprint drops depending on which maps/settings you're running. At the beginning of the cold snap, blueprints and top tier look was fucking abundant. Now I suspect high loot RNG rotates among night, hidden bunker, cold snap or regular day maps randomly throughout the day. The game is still hell of a lot fun but i've finished most of the goals i was targeting. Now I am just going to finish all my quests and just loot continuously till i get all the blueprints. Then its stashing top weapons, blueprints and money (already have 1.7 mil) for the next expedition (already completed).
Memorable events:
1. One day before xmas on spaceport, I zipped up a security tower and landed next someone looting the security locker. I said friendly friendly even though I had the drop on him and he thanked me for not killing him. We exchanged pleasantries and then decided to look together. He showed me his looting route and i showed him mine. Near the end he said I like you bro and said he wanted to give me the Aphelion blueprint. I was like WTF!? That's the hardest blueprint to get (last season) and he was like he had an extra. So we friended and I asked him if he happen to need the equalizer blueprint because i had a spare stash.. he was like "oh shit that's the one i need". So we exchanged and became buddies.
2. This week's trials had an annoying one: snowball the rocketeer. Need to disable its two propellers (one one side) so it would fall and hopefully flip and can't move instead of blowing up. Attempted this twice and kept on killing it by accident so i said fuck it.. not doing it. Then went into blue gate and met a raider on pilgrim's peak who wanted to do it so i said why not.. i'll help him. Well we flipped that bitch with 20 mins left to spare and started pelting him with snowballs! He already had a stash and I found a spot to make them so we spend 16 mins rotating between making snowballs and pelting the rocketeer. Most rewarding round ever since rocketeers are the most difficult and hated arc IMO. A third raider noticed and asked if he could join in and we were like of course! the more the merrier. With 4 mins left we left that dog shit rocketeer on the ground (didn't even kill him) and adrelanine-fueled ran all the way to the extract point with 40 secs to spare. We giggled like little girls on how we turned that rocketeer into a snowman as we extracted. I earned so many points from that event it polevaulted me to #1 in my trials leaderboard. Dropped to #3 but got back to #2 after i went on a bloodthirsty run to kill shredders in stella montis. About to go back in for another session.
3. Went into spaceport night raid and found myself looting the entire Departure building. All by myself. It is the largest building with the most amount of lootable items and no one bothered to enter the building but me. It was weird. I heard tons of gunfire in the distance but not a single raider ever entered. So i looted the locked area first then raided the first floor, going all the way around. Hmm.. nothing great. Then i proceed to loot the 2nd floor and near the end I am muttering to myself "this game is fucking trolling me. The largest high loot building all to myself and I find NOTHING!!! NOTHING!!!". Then I shit you not, the very last drawer i find a tempest blueprint. This game just double-trolled me... Safely extracted.
4. Hidden Bunker Event on Spaceport. We must activate 4 antennas on the roofs throughout the map and while you wait you have fight off several arcs. All 4 antennas triggered will unlock the hidden bunker. What some bums (including myself) would do is just camp/wait at the 3 entrances of the bunker and as soon as all the antennas activated they would bum rush the bunker and take everything. Never found anything good during the few run dashes. Well I tried to load into a Hidden Bunker event and the loading screen froze. So I restarted my game and tried again. Loaded in and headed off to the first antenna closest to me (Control Tower A6). This is the first time I am trying to do all the antennas as I've only ever done one (well watched others do it). As I get close i hear firing on the roof so I figured someone's got this one and i head off to the next antenna. Sure enough right before i reach the 2nd antenna the first one is done. I finish the 2nd antenna solo (took a while). It's suspiciously quiet. Where are all the raiders? I hear no gunfire anywhere. I run to the 3rd antenna (South Trench tower) and this one you have to use a zip line to get to the roof unless you have a key. Thankfully i had a zipline so I get up there and finish the 3rd antenna. I look a the time and there's 11 mins left? I trek over to the last antenna that's also right next to the hidden bunker. As I get closer still no notification that the last antenna is being triggered. Am I the only raider on this map!? I snap hook my way to the top of the Departure building, trigger the antenna and unlock the bunker with 6 mins left. I drop down and hurry into the bunker entrance that leads to the basement directly and and meet 4 rollers and 4 little spiders. Takes a 40 secs to kill all of them then i start running around looting. Take ANYTHING that's valuable. I loot as much as possible and as soon as the 2min time hits i run out of the bunker and had to the last extract which happens to be next to the hidden bunker. If the last extract point wasn't there I wouldn't have tried this solo crazy run. I safely extract with the loot which was the best I've ever done i think. 2 Volcano blueprints and 1 pink-tier weapon (either Volcano or Bettina) along with several high valuable crafting material. It was AWESOME! That was a fun ass experience that I'll probably won't get to enjoy again anytime soon. The map is always packed with people.
