Anthony Smith is probably done in the top

Yea at least u know he can lose teeth and still fight. Mike Perry is the open weight BKFC Super Saiyan Gawd.
Anthony could do OK under that rule set. He can punch and as you mentioned, he's partial to having a few pegs smashed out.

His body cant take it anymore...
Too much milage on the body...
Dude is 34 but his body is probably over 40...

Dude has solidified himself as a top LHW in his career. He landed some good shots and held out to the end this fight, but he was getting dropped with pretty light shots, even coming from Walker. His legs and chin are going south and unless he can work on getting guys down to the mat better he's going to get chewed up by better strikers each time.

He was only at the top of a weak division

He's. Nobody/never hasbeen

I love the guy but this fight showed he is not among the elite of the division anymore. If he takes a step down he can have a few fights as a gatekeeper but I'd hate to see him keep getting worked over, especially at LHW.

He looked old in there.....and really off the pace. I like the guy but there is no real point in extending his career after that.

As bad as he was, that fight did not boost Walker's stocks either. He really should have knocked Smith into the shadow realm....but didn't.

Done in the top? He was never close to the top. Decent fighter but he was waaaaay behind the elite. The only truly great win is against Gus, but at that time Smith’s grandmother would have subbed Gus with ease.
God damn... I had blocked that out of my memory. Poor Gus :(

He didn't do himself any favors the way he fought. He couldn't get inside of Walker but when he knew that early. He should've put it all on the table, guns blazing. Even if he got ko'd swinging for the fence he would have looked better than staying on the outside and getting pieced up the entire fight. The "fight" looked more like a sparring session for Walker.

He's never been elite. He got his title shot during an extremely lean period in which Jimi Manuwa was in line for a title shot with one more win.

He's a big over-achiever and a respectable journeyman but his lack of athleticism would never get him a title shot in this period when he's fighting faster, younger, more athetic guys (and some older, less athletic but better guys). I think he'll retire soon, thought he had last night when he removed his gloves.

i think him going 7 rounds with that crack head in his house took the prime out of him

Walker could have finished that fight like 50 times over if he wanted to.

Very average fighter. Overrated skillset and “heart”.

But what about his body

And when was last time he was at the top lol
