Another tipping thread. Who is wrong here?

I think the owner was wrong to follow the dude but I understand his rage. The customer is a kind of a dick. He knows he should leave something if he dines out.
No

The OWNER collects the profit and sets the price. If he wants more for a product, set the price before hand. He's not an employee who doesn't control prices or wages.

It's 100% on him and I hope plenty of people in that neighborhood see the video and determine if he should stay in business or not

Waiters have to tip out to the bus boy and the dish washer. When they don't get a tip then they lose money.

Tipping has gone out of hand in America but if you want to eat out and abuse the wait staff then at least give them their 10-15 percent.

He's the OWNER. He can set the prices and gets the profit / revenue. If he doesn't like his ROI, adjust the price...don't run down a person like a homeless schizophrenic

Wtf for a $20 meal? This owner is pathetic. If the guy didn't tip, so what's the fucken big deal. Just move on, not worth the hassle or get into a physical confrontation. Which you can end up going to jail.

Raise the price like the guy in the video said.

In case you didn't get it, he paid for his food , bro.

Tipping is so awkward. I remember the first time I stayed at a decent hotel, I didn't know you were supposed to tip the guy that brings your bags. So he just stood there awkwardly for a minute before he finally left my room.

Cruise ships are the worst. Every time an employee does their job you're supposed to tip them. What bullshit that was. I spent an extra grand just on tips on that cruise. Haven't gone on one since.

watched the first bit didnt need to see more.

A guy paid for his food and left. thats it.

The extra tip is fucking retarded and not enforceable by law.

Said it a hundred times, fuck tipping off completely and charge more for the food to bump the wages up of the staff. If it gets to expensive to eat out, then buy food and cook yourself.
And here we go.

How is this thread not 90 pages long already?

I had to leave a bunch of Vegas Facebook groups recently being bitter that I was on my way there and had to come home due to a poorly kitty. A bunch of non Americans constantly stirring the pot saying they would refuse to tip even if the service was okay got on my last fucking nerve constantly.

The cruise I went on all the tips were paid for in the initial price, they made a point of stating it. Takes the awkwardness out it completely.

The guy is a regular who never tips and the owner finally snapped on him but the owner has since apologized and gave the guy a free dinner
Gosh knows how much extra oil/mayo was floating around in that free dinner. Would you've eaten it? I sure as fuck wouldn't have.

Girl I worked with came to my local pub for lunch, she complained that there wasn't enough tuna in her baguette. A very reasonably priced baguette with nice service from a woman I'd known for years. The way she complained was really out of order. The baguette came back with extra filling, and a pubic hair.
